Rayovac Hybrid NiMH batteries are similar to Sanyo Eneloops. They can hold their charge for months, unlike normal NiMH batteries that will discharge in a week or two when not used. Rayovac says their batteries will hold 80% of their charge for 6 months. Capacity is 2100mAh (slightly better than Eneloop).
Amazon is selling 8 batteries (2 packs of 4) for $12.74 (price dropped today; no idea how long this will last). If you buy $39 of Rayovac products, use coupon code RAYO0809 for an instant $10 discount. That gives you 8 packs of batteries for $50.96 - $10 = $40.96 Free super saver shipping on $25 orders. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001KYFZ6Y
