Less than season passes at our crappy 800ft hill in PA. Wish I was out west.

Check out Mt. Rose as well. I got an email earlier about $333 for the full season. Most of the tahoe resorts go on sale in Sept.

i remember gettin the kirkwood pass... then i moved to CO & got the epic pass... so much more value!

I'm jealous, I have only been lucky enough to ski Colorado two separate times now, and now nothing else compares.

You obviously haven't skied in Canada.

Go to Whistler, Lake Louise or Kicking Horse.

Kirwood's potential snowpack is going to be a little leaner this year. They better pray El Nino helps them out.

Cloud-seeding program shuts down
After more than 30 years of stimulating snowfall in and around the Lake Tahoe Basin, the Nevada Cloud Seeding Program closed for good this month as a result of budget cuts.

“It's not really good for the ski resorts or anyone worried about water supplies in Lake Tahoe,” said Tom Swafford, principal research technician for the program. “Especially because it's going to reduce the amount of snow that falls in the Truckee and Tahoe Basin. Anyone who uses water will be impacted.”

Whistler snow quality compared to Colorado snow quality?! Whistler is too far west. Sure, Whistler gets light snow at times, but Colorado and Utah snow is more consistent than Whistler. Lake Louise and Kicking Horse is better, but I don't know if I would dish Colorado. And up until the last few years, Whistler hasn't had great snow until February.

I have not , but I will make it to Whistler some day, hopefully soon.

Don't know about Lake Louise or Kicking Horse, but Whistler was a bit of a letdown. I actually prefer Beaver Creek and Kirkwood over massive Whistler.
