This is the best price most people will find. But Costco and Sam's Club have 32 ounce jugs of maple syrup for about $13, may be a bit less than this deal (modulo sales tax).

Or, take a cup of brown sugar, a cup of white sugar, and a cup of water; boil until all the sugar is dissolved, and add about 1/8 tsp of maple flavoring (you can get a few ounces for a buck or two). You'll have syrup that's way better than Log Cabin or Mrs. Butterworth's, and will have paid next to nothing for it.

How long does maple syrup hold for? I just started using my waffle maker but I don't need 32oz worth of the stuff.

just about forever.

Thanks OP, nothing like real maple syrup.
That brown-sugar + flavoring thing may be sweet, mapley, and better than Log Cabin (YUCK!) but I assure you it's got nothing on the real stuff.

Alrighty I'm sold on a jug but which grade to get for belgium waffles? I don't think I ever had the real stuff unless IHOP serves them.

edit:
Its selling out fast and I just went ahead and got grade A dark and grade A medium. 4 x 16 oz. Going to give a bottle each to sis and bro.

edit 2:
I'm keeping them all for myself, hehe I'm going to horde these the next time there is another deal.

In for (2) 16oz, grade A Medium for ~$13 shipped. Is it possible to cancel subscription prior to first shipment, or do you have to wait until order is enroute? Thanks OP!

Not sure what the relationship is between the Coombs Family brand and the Brown Family brand, but FYI, the 35% off Coombs Family discount code works on both.

From the Brown Family:
A Commitment to Family Farming We believe family farming is a way of life that should be honored and protected. Over the years, we've joined with other farms like Coombs Family Farm and Bascom Family Farm who support this belief. Together we have tended maple forests and produced pure maple syrup for over seven generations.

Can't speak for Sam's Club, but I only remember seeing the Grade A Medium Amber stuff at Costco. Personally I prefer the darker, stronger Grade B syrup.

Ditto - Grade B does not indicate quality, just color. The darker the syrup, the more intense the maple flavor.

Chicken and waffles anyone?

I got mine yesterday, 4-16oz. I tried the grade A dark and its very good. I wish I would have bought more to stock up. The King Arthur Flour Belgian Yeast Waffle recipe I use calls for 3 tablespoons of maple syrup. With the batter, syrup use and Waring waffle maker, these bottles are going to go fast.

Another good thing about these bottles are that they don't drip all over bottle after pouring. They created a little pocket near the opening. Great design!

Yeah, Grade B is darker than the darkest Grade A. Grade A is typically harvested earlier in the season and has a lighter maple flavor, Grade B is harvested later in the season, and has more maple flavor (and actually more trace minerals in it as well). I really prefer B myself... dark and maple-y.

In for 2 32oz Grade B @ $12.50 ea shipped! Awesome price for organic syrup. You'd be hard pressed to beat that in New England, and now that we're living out in the SW we definitely don't see prices like that (although Trader Joe's is not terrible). Also picked up the large container of granulated maple sugar, great for adding a maple flavor to anything you are sweetening!
