Panasonic ZS3 Superzoom(12x) Digital Camera with HD Video (720p/AVCD-lite) is on sale at electronics-expo.com for $314.87 (add-to-cart price).
Apply 10% coupon LSCAMERA10 to bring it down to $283.38 Shipping was $10 for me. DONT FORGET 3% FW CashBack! (bing was 5-8% but they dont play nice with coupons, so avoid)
for my die-hard FW brethren that want to save about $4 more by agonizing over Bing/Paypal CB for months by checking their accounts everyday, there is an alternate deal @ CircuitCity.com by combining 15% Bing CB + $20 Paypal promo to bring it down to around $280, BUT upfront investment is $350. not worth my time but figured i throw it out there.

today morning's order shipped already with tracking. paired with my just received LX3, this is the best of both worlds (photography heaven and financial hell). net = $370(LX3)+$280(ZS3) = ouch!
I just got it for $278 AC including $9.99 S&H (UPS Ground) this morning, so the deal is still alive.
This Panasonic was rated the best camera in a fairly recent www.dpreview.com review of compact superzoom cameras, beating competitors from Canon, Sony, Olympus and Samsung:
They actually had it tied with the nearly identical Lumix ZS1, but that one has only WVGA (852x480) video, rather than the ZS3's HD 720p video. The ZS3 has a super high resolution screen, is supposed to have quite a few camcorder-type features and is supposed to have one of the best video capabilities of any digital camera, but if you don't care about video, electronics-expo has the ZS1 for only $217.34 shipped with the lscamera10 coupon code.
UPDATE 9/25: Their website still indicates that my order is in "new order" status, i.e. has not yet shipped. When I called this morning, I was told "uhhh, it shipped yesterday" and when I asked for a tracking number, the CSR told me "I'm sure they'll e-mail you one today." I'm having doubts about these statements - this is what one hears from Crooklyn camera stores, although I will admit electronics expo did not contact me to try to hard-sell accessories marked up by 400% and threaten to cancel the order if I didn't buy their swell 2gb SD card for $99, like one of the Crooklyn bait-and-switch scammers would do.
I was really hoping to have the camera by the weekend - this is substandard service.

Crap, that's kind of scary. Three weeks and no delivery? Have they given you a tracking number? I really need to receive this by the end of next week - hope they're not playing some sort of free short term loan game with our credit card payments, only to cancel.
EDIT 9/28/09: Just received an e-mail with UPS tracking number showing that the camera I ordered on 9/22 shipped on 9/24 and should arrive tomorrow. Seven days to ship from NJ to WI is pretty slow, but I guess it's worth the $20 saved versus what it would have been at Amazon.

My ZS3 just arrived today. I was kind of annoyed to see that E-Expo sent it in a box that was not much bigger than the Panasonic box and it was not padded, just wedged in there with an E-Expo catalog.
It appears to be a pretty nice camera. I took a few photos with it with what trace amounts of juice were left in the battery out of the box and they appeared to be pretty much on par with my Kodak P880, (8mp, 24mm-160mm lens, the last quality camera Kodak ever made). There's a slight grip on the right hand side of the body, so it's pretty easy to hold one-handed and the controls are bigger than on my wife's Kodak M883, so it's easier to use. It's pretty heavy and has a quality feel to it. Two negatives so far: the function dial seems a bit too close to the telephoto-zoom toggle and I accidentally swiveled it off the original setting once already. Second negative is that the flash appears to be really weak - at 17' it has virtually no effect, but maybe the battery is too undercharged to give a full flash.
