This is for their 9Mbps down/768Kbps up service, which is usually $44.99/month.

I could not get the offer to pull up on their website, but called and referred to offer code 41110 as described under "Promotional Disclaimer 2" in the above
link:

"Promotion 2 $22.99/mo for 6 Month of Cox Preferred Internet
Promotion Disclaimer 2 *Offer expires 12/31/09 and is available to new residential Cox High Speed Internet customers in Cox Kansas/Arkansas service areas. After the first six months, regular monthly rate is $44.99 for Cox Preferred Package. $22.99/mo for six months limited to the first six months’ service fee for Cox Preferred Package. Installation fees, taxes, franchise fees and other surcharges are additional. Actual speeds vary. Cox cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free High Speed Internet service. All rates subject to change. Other restrictions may apply. ©2009 Cox Communications Kansas, L.L.C. All rights reserved. Offer Code 41110."

The CSR was able to pull up the code for my area (Cox Kansas/Arkansas). Might or might not be available elsewhere.

RE:
Advertised areas

I have found, at least with Charter....
pay no attention to geographic limitations...
These offers are through marketing agencies and not direct with the business.
They will see you get the offer.

Did this come with their free modem (after rebate) offer as well like the 3 months for $19.99/mth deal advertised on the coxspecials.com home page? It seems broadbandoffers.com operates quite a few websites with the same offer.
