1. Add to cart, price drops to $149.99

2. Follow trade in instructions to get a $50 MIR on any old printer (or do this deal in store to save the $50 instantly)

3. Use $30/150 coupon from ejunkie (you will need to add a .50 box of paper clips to get pre-coupon price to above $150 for it to apply)

Math--

$299-150 is= $149.99-$50 Rebate=$99.99-$30 coupon=$69.99 (plus cost of coupon and tax of course. shipping is free.

where to get ejunkie coupon?

order online, use 30/150 coupon, print order confirmation email, go to instore with the receipt and an old printer,
then how do they give you $50 instantly?

no it is not. this is a better deal at $69.99, other post is for $75. mods did not lock this earlier either.

nice... so instead of buying $25 coupon, you buy $30 coupon and clustered the forum.

$30 off cost $3 more than $25 off coupon, plus the filler. so total saving is less than $2 over the other post.

lol, no it doesn't. $30 off $150 are $1.99 on eBay. saving over $4 plus if you keep using the $25/75 and never switch over to $30/150 on some orders, chances of getting blacklisted increase as well from reports.

is it possible to double dip the HP credit with two old printers by doing a trade-in in-store and then filing a second trade-in with HP?
can someone who's already done the deal post a scan of their receipt?

I don’t know what the deal was back then, but I have purchased Officejet Pro 8000 Wireless EcoEasy some time ago, and had received 2 rebates, one from Staples Easy Rebate & other one from HP/Market Velocity. It was money maker then, when you trade 2 printers. I tried but couldn’t find the post in forum, though I know it is there.

Showing out of stock on internet and by phone - at least for Houston area

Cmon Mrcheap. You know this is a repost. I chasised the guy for posting his deal before he knew the actual cost, which he was right all along. Just because he said to use a 25 instead of a 30 coop dont make this a new thread.
Are you gonna make a newer thread with the same deal and tell everyone to use an ink rewards coupon to make this a whole new deal?

Ok, Ive said what I needed to and increased my post count just like Mrcheap with this op.

didn't post it as a repost and mods let it stay, so I guess in their view it's not. it's close though Poof, a sorta/kindarepost. how's that?

Repost or not, you're both pretty. In for 1, now just have to follow up on the $50 rebate and send in my old, broken Lexmark. TYOP!

If I order online, how can I get 50$ tradein in local store?
If I buy it instore, I can not use the ejunckie coupon

it depends how they do it on the receipt. not sure how the $50 gets taken off. but typicall the rule is $30 off $150 to which no other coupon applies, so as long as the $50 trade in credit is given as a "payment" offset, the $30/150 should still work. if not and can always use the $25/75 instore if you have concerns.

if I orde online, and trade in instore, what do I need to do?

MC, i'm sure you are aware that you have developed a nice reputation for yourself on FW, and somewhat of a following. Precisely for this reason, a lot of people, including mods, give you some leeway which they would not give to someone else.
you can only diminish this and tarnish your reputation not by making errors like re-posts, but by taking advantage of said consideration, and by presenting whiny and childish excuses to justify yourself. you need to own up to your mistake(s), and move on. that will, in fact, enhance your standing in the eyes of us mere mortals.

I am going to try $30/$150, but I doubt it will work. See Here

I had trouble using a 30/150 in-store coupon together with the $50 trade-in offer. The checkout clerk applied the $50 trade-in credit BEFORE the in-store coupon, so it didn't reach anywhere near the total needed to use the 30/150 coupon. I asked him if he could run the 30/150 first, and he refused. I told him it was doable online because I've done it. Frustrated, I just decided to send my trade-in to HP directly and wait to get the $50 trade-in refund.

Look at the receipt scan.

Exactly. Take a good look at it. The way the recycle thing works at Staples store won't let the $30 off $150 fly with a penny or a quarter filler.

Good luck!!!

the trade in for me was done as a seperate transaction, for 10 bucks, on the printer, they gave me a 60 dollar credit. the net is really 50 but nice to get rid of it anyway. pull the ink out of the trade in for more Staples rewards

getting bored from the rudeness from the repost nazis on here

There was only ONE CSR in the whole store? At that point I would have either left the item, walked out of the store and come back later -- or simply put the item back in the shopping cart and browse around a bit until a different teller showed up and not mention the trade in until after she takes the coupon.

Actually it wasn't worth the fight with my local CSRs. I've noticed that when one of them makes a stand on some stupid issue like this, the rest of them usually back him/her up. I will make certain to get even with my local store however for this one. I love bringing in competitor coupons and stacking them with their best deals and watching the look on their faces at checkout. They definitely appear to feel some deep personal pain for some crazy reason. Anyway, I just sent the old printer off to HP directly for the $50 recycling credit. I even hauled it into the same Staples store to ship it off and looked at that CSR right in the eye and told him what was in the box and that HP even paid the freight on it. Already got the confirmation email from HP indicating it was received and the $50 check would be mailed in 6 weeks or something. I tried telling the guy it was the same deal either way.
