OTOH when I recently visited Kmart, it wasn't as crowded as the Goodwill storein the same shopping center.
The quality of Sears Craftsman screwdrivers is probably better than average because when Consumer Reports tested socket sets in 1992, Craftsman came out on top, and I know somebody who went through lots of hex key sets because they kept wearing out, but then he bought Sears Craftsman sets and didn't have to buy more.
How does the warranty work? So suppose the screwdriver head shreads or goes blunt after years of tightening some stubborn screws ... Would Sears store just replace it on the spot? Shipping a $5 item for warranty basically makes the warranty useless. Also what if the model has been discontinued/changed by then?
Anyboody has experience with Craftsman warranties?

Just take it to Sears, hand it to the cashier in the tools department and they hand you a new one....No muss, no fuss!!

Thx for the info, but 1992 vs. 2009, and sockets vs screwdrivers? Unless you followed that statement with 'and they haven't changed anything in their manufacturing or supply chain process in 17 years', that info is irrelevant.
Besides, these screwdrivers make your toolbox smell funny. Don't believe me? Open the drawer with Craftsman screwdrivers at your house and take a whiff.

I have found junky, rusty Craftsman hand tools in old basements, lying out in the yard, etc. Just take them in for exchange. If they look beat up, Sears will swap them for a new tool.

Smells slightly worse than my socket drawer but better than my plyer drawer.......................
