CI is running this sampler deal again - you get 8 cigars and a 20 count desktop humidor or the cigars and a 5 count travel humidor for $15 + $5 shipping. As in previous deals the cigars are fairly mild, great for beginning cigar smokers. They may substitute cigars but they'll still be mild/medium.
First Class Humidor Sampler includes: 1 - Rocky Patel Connecticut Torpedo 1 - Oliva Serie ’G’ Toro 1 - Padilla Achilles Torpedo 1 - Gurkha Park Avenue Torpedo 1 - Perdomo Slow-Aged Lot 826 Glorioso 1 - 5 Vegas Classic Torpedo 1 - Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Robusto Maduro 1 - La Herencia Cubana Toro
It depends on your tastes in cigars. The 5 Vegas and Rocky Patel cigars are usually well received. I tend to stay with the macanudos, montecristos and toranos myself, but for $10, you can get to try a variety of decent hand-made cigars.

Phew, you have expensive tastes!
The Gurka Park Avenue 44 is a real gem, I always keep a box of them around. Mild and rich, a good standby. The 5V is a little more robust but still an easy, fulfilling smoke. The RP Connecticut is great, very mild, I usually give them to my friends to try. Good intro cigar for a cigarette smoker.
There's really nothing special about this sampler but it's a good baseline, with a good range of cigars from mild to robust. Great for the intro smoker. I've given this sampler+humidor combo to a few of my friends to get them started with cigars, and they're always well-received.

anyone know if the humidor is actually functional?
This deal never went away. They advertise it every month in their catalog. It has been there every month for over a year. It is a good deal, read the prior threads on the humidor.

It is functional and seals well once humidified. Like all humidors though it holds less than the stated capacity unless you only store coronas in it. Probably holds a dozen robusto/toro/torpedo cigars.

True for the most part - they just continually change the link to the deal, but sometimes there's a gap between deals. Also there are different versions of the catalog and they don't list the deal in all of them. My monthly catalog never shows it.

Does anyone have current links for the $15 + $5 prices?
I'm a fan of the Oliva and Padilla. The 5 Vegas, RP, Slow-Aged, and Indian Tabac are just okay IMO. Not a fan of the others. Your preferences may (and should) vary from mine--give them all a try and smoke what you like!
This is a great deal with the travel humidor. I found that the desktop humidors in these deals were too small for normal use.

Thanks OP. I ordered one. I am semi new to cigars. I have been buying them from the local shop and smoking them the same day though, so this will help.
FYI, this morning, these links take you to a page listing this deal as $10 in the decription, but the cart price shows $25. I called CSR and they were very helpful in honoring the $10 price. With free shipping, $10 for 8 cigars - can't beat this deal! tyop!

I just called and they wouldn't honor the 10 dollars. Hmm...

Wow, I would definitely argue that! The webpage still clearly says $10. I called in the morning ... mayb e try then to see if you get the same CSR.
I'm going to upload a pdf of my receipt to the quick summary ... the receipt refers to another special offer code, but the one I called about was from the original link.
Thank you so much max! I definitely called back and I got my order, even using your receipt as back up! Strange that the lady would tell me otherwise...
