I know what you mean about the CA tax. It can be a deal killer. That's one reason why I love Amazon (the items that say "shipped from and sold by Amazon"). Unfortunately this is not one of the items they carry. Just the other vendors. I'm confused as to why some outfits don't charge tax but most do.
TigerDirect probably has a physical presence in Florida, hence the tax. Amazon doesn't, so no tax. But states like NY have started mandatory sales tax from online companies like Amazon, irrespective of whether they have a physical presence in NY or not.
