Bally's -- Horrible company and horrible deal! Look into a $299 - 2 year 24 Hour Fitness membership from Costco.
This works out to $12.50 / mo at any 24 Hour Fitness Express, Active or Sport clubs nationwide (excludes Super Sport clubs). No startup or ending fee. Certificate never expires, can return to Costco if unused OR dissatisfied. There is a 5% surcharge if you don't have a Costco membership...but that is only $15 extra!
I completely agree with sfh8544 on Bally's being a horrible company.
Please read all the fine prints and every word you sign. There is bound to be some catch.. We were stuck with a Bally's contract and there was no way we could get out without paying a huge fine.. All because we did not read the fine print-

I was a Bally's customer for over 10 years, that is until they decided to rip me off. My membership came due and I didn't need it at the time so didn't renew it. I came back from school 5 months later and renewed it for a year (12 months right?). About 7 months into my contract, I get flagged for having an expired membership. Bally's tells me the 5 months when my membership was expired counted against me since I renewed it...Funny how that works, my membership is expired and I can't go into the facilities even if I wanted to. Yet when I renew, those 5 months I couldn't have used the facilities are counted against me.
On top of that I have had atleast 2 friends with billing issues / being overcharged. Another friend had her signature forged so the Bally's rep could lock her into a contract / get a commision or whatever. Horrible company. I cancelled my membership after chewing out some Bally Customer Service reps.
