I received their email with this deal, and it doesn't say anything about the deal starting at 18:00, but it does when you try to use the coupon. Normally, all their coupons are good when they send out their email. I wonder if they made a mistake ..?
I bought 5 of these the last time they had them. If I had a few more micro SD cards laying around, I'd probably buy more. They work absolutley perfectly and are half the physical size and 1/3 the weight of a normal flash drive. The little lanyard is strong and fits on your car keys etc perfectly. Excellent deal.
I would advise people to check where this item is shipped from when buying from Meritline. I bought 2 things that were supposed to ship from HK more than a month back, and I am still waiting. For all means and purposes, I think its either lost on the way, or they haven't shipped from HK at all. So, just be careful and verify where its been shipped from.

Note: OP's product link doesn't work for me, but this one does (but coupon may not work until 6PM): http://www.meritline.com/microsd-memory-card-reader---p-38219.aspxit accepts coupon, but takes the $ off a 5.98 price, so they are $3....????I ordered 5 pieces, total $9.95 - $4.97 coupon code = $4.98 net.

So, just be careful and verify where its been shipped from.A few weeks ago, I waited for about 25 days for an order and never received it. I wrote Meritline, and their reply asked me to wait a few more days, saying it occasionally takes up to 4 weeks to receive from Hong Kong. They included a link to a form to ask for my refund. I waited, and on the 28th day, when I was getting ready to do the refund, the item showed up. I have ordered MANY times from them from Hong Kong, and normally it only takes 1-2 weeks as they state.
These work great, but if I'm going to be waiting for Chinese shipping, I'm not spending more than $0.86. And if I don't want the neat looking string with the useful clip at the end, you're not going to get me to pay a hair over $0.69. $1 is too expensive for my blood!
EDIT: If the $0.99 AUD sets you off for the $0.86 reader, search on eBay and you'll find some selling for $0.88 without the currency conversion.
Totally nightmare experience from Meritline. I place an order (iphone repair kit) from them for a month ago. Never received the product and they don't answer email. I need to go for credit dispute at the end.

I have bought from them years ago. They are not that bad. Just wanted to state that it looks like this deal is dead. It says coupon code is invalid. Althought after doing that they still display an add offering it for a dollar and the ad shows the same coupon code. Please let us know if it works again or a new deal arrives. There was another $1 MicroSD reader a few weeks back. If anyone has a link please post it if the deal is still going, Thanks.

Yep, they just cut and paste the exact same response in every Meritline thread.
I have ordered cheap odds and ends from them for years and never had any trouble. Sometimes it gets here quickly and other times it may take a while. For what I am buying and paying for them, I could care less.
Somebody that has figured out how to make a buck selling me an item for $1 shipped from the other side of the world is ok in my book.
