I got an Asus Arctic Square CPU cooler a while ago, so I don't really need this one, but I don't see why not to get this as a back-up for $10. Thanks OP!

Does this fit socket AM3 or the new Core i5/i7 socket?
I can't compare, but I put an arctic square in my video encoder which would run hot enough that I had to leave the case open and put an external fan on the case to keep if from shutting down when encoding video. Now, my cpu maybe hits 30c while encoding. I just grabbed this for another PC that is running hot. $10 is a great deal.
I bought this yesterday before the price jumped up. Today I purchased the Silent Night [Both are for either back up purposes or for sending to the Philippines where a number of computers burned up due to a combo of poor fan performance coupled with high outside temps].
