good luck with this system. i received mine a week ago and already sent it back due to "warming up" issues....personally, i would pass at any price until the kinks are worked out.
If you're worried about stability, get the ps3 80gb version...they are rock solid. Mine's been nothing but reliable ever since I bought it. Knowing that, I sort of wish I had the slim as it does use less energy, but I can't complain with what I have.

Don't for get to use your Dell Preferred Account if you have it for an extra 3% off!!
I got one for $243 + (6.25%) tax.
BTW I have another one (20GB) that I have had for a couple years with no problems ever. I also have a Wii & 360. The only one I have had any issues with was the Wii and it really doesn't get much use anyway.
lilstabber said: what is this "warming up" issue? Better not be another RROD crap! I'm tired of console that doesn't last more than 3 months.
Dreamcast, 360...all died in less than 3 months.
I only had it 3 days. It causes screen flickering for about 10 minutes with any media type (games, DVD, BR) until it warms up. I guarantee I'm not going to be the last one to experience this. Sony didn't want to exchange, they wanted to fix it even though I only had it for 7 days....customer service is horrible! Just to clarify, it didn't "die", just had a "warming up" issue. POS in my opinion!

Awwww... man what a crybaby. Boo Hoo my PS3 has a problem. I'm mad. I'm going to throw it in the same pile with all the other gadgets like my Palm pad. Oops, I think I'm going to need my palm pad so I can get happy again. Oops, drip.

Mine came and it didn't boot up. I had to call CS and found out the hard drive was lose and I had to unscrew the box and reinstall the HD. Seems like it's a common problem since they knew exact what my problem was.
Needless to say, I was kind of ticked off after already beening burned on the XBOX 360 with the RROD
