Sorry, I can't find the original thread from my blackberry. The eneloop kit instant rebate is back until 10/10 according to the sign. 8 AA 2 AAA batteries, charger, 4 C and 4 D adapters. Item #277265 found in dedham MA. Probably nationwide like last time.
Since those deals expired it seems fair enough to post a new thread. To prevent repeats of the same discussions over and over again (e.g., what about HHGregg, which charger is best, etc.), here are the links to the two most recent threads on Eneloop kits at Costco:

No mention of any rebate. Probably just started this morning.
FWIW, Costco has offered this deal a number of times over the past few years and, to the best of my knowledge, it has never required a coupon or rebate, just an instant discount at checkout.
I think it is funny that the seller put "CostCo Kit #2" in the item name. Any reasonable shopper would probably think 'I didn't know Costco sold this. Why buy from a middle man when I can probably get it cheaper at Costco's?'

For you AAA wanters: "All-Batteries" has 24 AAA (1000 mah Ni-Mh and R2U) here for $25 with free shipping if you use coupon "Coupon15"
I've picked up 3 of these eneloop kits over the past year and have enough of the chargers, and C and D adapters...but now I just ordered the above to satisfy my AAA hunger!

How about this: Because not every everyone has Costco membership, and/or they don't have Costco near them?

Oh, I totally agree with you about that, but it doesn't change the fact that I stated above: the merchant is alerting some folks to look for a better deal elsewhere. If I bought something on sale so that I could sell it on Amazon, eBay, Craigslist, etc., I'm not going to tell the folks I'm trying to sell it to where I got it so that they could go see if they could get it there cheaper too. I just find that amusing.

Picked up a couple packs of AAAs and used the $2 coupon in the Sunday ads a couple weekends ago. Almost a $1 a piece for the white tops.

excellent tip about the aaa batteries "insaneoctane" just ordered 24 for $25.83 after your discount code (free shipping anyway, and your code knocked four fifty six off the price). They sound very much like the eneloop technology. Let's see if they are any good when they turn up. Fingers crossed.
If you want the AAA from All-Batteries, their eBay store is selling 24 for $23.49. You could get it for less if use Bing. http://cgi.eBay.com/6-Cards-24-Nimh-AAA-1000mAh-Ready-To-Use-Batteries_W0QQitemZ390058280827QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item5ad149077b&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262

Hmm... I have heard mixed comments on Tenergy LSD. I did a google search on Panasonic LSD that were about the same price as the Tenergy and decided not to jump. Here is one article testing various LSD's that someone may find useful - http://www.stefanv.com/electronics/low_self_discharge.html
The Duracells at Target are a great buy especially if they are they have the white top (Made in Japan). I'd be interested if anyone bought the Tenergy and wanted to post the actual capacity vs the stated capacity. By the way, Eneloops may be the gold standard of LSD, but the MAHA PowerEx Imedion may be an even better LSD battery. Check the above review and the Amazon reviews.

Is that the everyday price at Target?
No, it's not, the tag says good till 9/21, so hurry. I actually went two stores before I can find any AA size ones. I heard the white top ones are exactly the same as eneloop.

Define "better" ? Eneloops are still better for high discharge than MAHA, although MAHA does seem to compare well to other brands. So research is quite necessary to match people's needs. Amazon reviews are not quite enough.
Actually went to Amazon to find them myself because the nearest Cost Co is over a hour away, not worth paying the membership + gas to get batteries or any other deals really. All those sets are listed on Amazon as "Cost Co Set #2", perhaps the sets are made for Cost Co? Them being named that just let me know I was getting the set I needed. I paid a bit more (but they were on sale with FS not long ago on Amazon) so 10 bucks more was quite reasonable. I looked for a better deal as well. For those of us that cannot get to a Cost Co, makes sense to see them named "Cost Co Set #2".
And I actually got a nicer charger because my brother got one and said he was actually getting much longer life from his cheaper rechargeable batteries, some of which were barely doing anything anymore.
Picked one up on the 30th for $19.99. I did not see a sign for any $$ off so this seems to be the regular price now. Maybe this is because Costco also carries the Duracell pre-charged for ~$19.00. Nice thing about the eneloop package is that it comes with the C & D adapters. I bought it at the King of Prussia, PA store.
