Ok, some of this has been posted before but not all so here are the details:

1. Go to http://www.freelancersunion.org
2. Log in if you are a member or join for free
3. Click on Discounts
4. Scroll down to T-Mobile
5. Click on "T-Mobile Premiere site"
6. Select Phones + Plans

I've selected myFaves 300 plan with $24.99 Data plan. My total is:

Total due today $99.99
Total due monthly $64.98

I've setup my MyTouch to use Google Voice and added my GV number to Fav5. I give out my GV phone number to everyone and NOT my T-Mobile number so I effectively have unlimited talk anytime + unlimited SMS messages.

This will also work with family plans and the price is the same ($99) for up to 5 phones!

They also have Sidekick Sidekick LX™ - Limited Edition Tony Hawk for $49.

Thanks. Is the data plan mandatory?

Is the 10% off monthly bill only within the contract?

Yes

I am not sure what you mean but here is the wording from their website:

"Perk Up: Receive 10% off monthly recurring fees, discounts on select phones and waived $35 activation fee. Offer applies to new activations only by calling T-Mobile telesales or activating through the Freelancers Premier website (log in for details). Activations processed in retail stores will not be eligible for the 10% monthly discount. Already have T-Mobile and want to receive 10% off your bill? Activate a T-Mobile @Home line for $9.99/month to replace your landline and your account will be eligible."

Just a coincidence that this phone was just rated the worst in the USA for radiation emissions?

Unlimited talk on incoming calls only, it should be pointed out. Anyone with any cell plan with fave 5 or friends and family, etc can do the same thing. I have my GV number as one of my TMO faves and have GV set to show its CID and not the actual caller's.

2 year contract, I assume?

On my account the Freelancer's discount applies to both my plan and my data (T-Zones in my case).

Not so... It includes incoming and outgoing calls. The GV Android app handles outgoing call automatically so you get unlimited Outgoing and Incoming calls...

No, I'm sure T-Mobile saw the results and decided to build a massive promotion around it, involving Oprah and the freelancers union.

Just found this as well:

Save $100 on T-Mobile MyTouch from T-Mobile. This can also be used with Bing CB.
Use code KICKOFF24

T-Mobile

It shows following things:
T-Mobile G1 with Google: $109.99 with 2 year contract. Save $290
T-Mobile Sidekick 3G: $149.99 with 2 year contract. Save $300
Blackberry 8900: $49.99 with 2 year contract. Save $450

I could not see myTouch there.

same price, directly from T-Mobile

Actually I think the OP's deal is better. I tried both, going all the way to the last step of checkout, before going with Freelancers. Going through the KICKOFF24 promo deal, you get the phone for $99 and also *hopefully* Bing's 35% CashBack, but I had to pay an additional $35 activation fee, while the OP's link waived the activation fee. So the end result is still $99 with both. But I don't want the wait nor the uncertainty of Bing's CB, so OP's deal is better I think.

Uh...isn't that regular price for the monthly cost? What about the 10% off?

This should have been posted to the existing thread... could have added to "Quick Summary."

OMG... can't believe this deal. that's pretty HOT compared to what i got at a local chinese TMO store.

i had to wait 2wks for MT3G white, but all in all, only paid $97 for the phone.

2 yr contact
1000 min for $39.99 w/ unlimited wknite, wkend.
must keep data plan ($24.99) for 4 months
i added 300 domestic txt - $4.99
total before tax: $69.97

but if i had known about the 10% off every monthly bill, that would've been awesome!

man.. thanks for the link. i wish FCC would put this type of updated information on their site. had i known.. i may have not opt for MT3G and probably went with sprint. afterall, their network is hella faster than tmo's 3G. plus i heard there will be a new ROM available for sprint users soon which will enable them to have speed up to 3.2mbps as compared to the 1.5mbps right now.
