September 2007... The Twins Sale is Born!

The story behind how the Twins Sale came to be an annual tradition is a pretty funny one... but then again, that really depends on who you ask. If you ask Matt Dolan (now the Manager of Channel Sales) how much he was laughing back in September 2007, he'd likely tell you that there was too much sweating going on down in the shipping department to have much time leftover for laughing. "It was a crazy week," he says (laughing now).

Why the craziness, you might wonder?

Well, on the brink of Abby's due date, Craig got the idea for the yearly Twins Sale as a fun way to celebrate the special occasion... great idea, right? The only problem was that in all of the excitement, Craig launched the sale without telling anyone else about the offer. Craig's thinking was that the promotion would surely bump sales but not have nearly the entire stock of pillows and bedding flying out the door.

Boy, was he wrong!

It didn't take long for everyone to catch "Twins Sale Fever" and start ordering up a storm! Orders were pouring in at such a rate that backup was called into help - brothers, sisters, parents, friends - everyone that was willing pitched in to assist in getting merchandise boxed up and shipped out. By the end of the week (and the sale), there was one definite sentiment shared by all involved: awesome.
