As an Afghan, the sickle and hammer is quite offensive, but I think it will bring back some memories if I walked into the mosque with it this winter (at least to any who served as Mujahideen hehe) nice find OP!
It's not deal. It is selling by only private seller on Amazon and like this you can get 10000 items which is selling there worth 90% less of original price.

read reviews, before you comment ! unfortunately or fortunately I know what this is! and if you live where weather is cold - ! - it will beat any north face hat or any other hat, hands down - ! - designed w/Siberia in mind! good luck!
Product Description Product Description This hat (very warm) is made of artificial furry strong material, has flaps on the side and back that come down to cover your neck. Such hats were first used by Russian troops during WW2 to survive during cold Russian winter and they're still used in Russian army these days!

huge melon ! - contact the seller - ! - as one reviewer in feed back said: they did help! good luck!
Too much work! I only buy on impulse. If I have to write for an answer, well, forget about it.

I own one of these hats. A Byelorussian friend of mine got it for me during the closing days of the Cold War.
20 years later, I'm still wearing it, and it's still the warmest thing I've ever owned. Tough, great quality. The only unfortunate (?) thing was that the hammer-and-sickle pin was pretty shoddy, and broke off during the first or second winter. But the hat itself: kick@ss!
i used to trade for real stuff by the train load with canned food near china border. they used to have really good cloths and equipments for trade for food at a dirt cheap price.

And, the only guys that wear the REAL FUR ones now (without the badges) start at around age 60.
exactly, these are newly made garbage quality, its overpriced tourist crap.
they have a few hats of similar make/quality - haven't seen a negative review and I bet they are cheaper there and some are garbage (possibly made in China!) - but reviews are good

Amazon review: "great product, keeps the head nice and toasty. The added badges bring an authentic look to the coziness. The side effect of getting strange looks from people in Arizona makes it oh so much better."
Wouldn't somebody wearing ANY warm, furry winter hat attract strange looks in Arizona? (Cf., wearing a US Flag Speedo outdoors in Siberia.)

This guy also has custom hand painted nesting dolls (biggest is 7") with your favorite sports team and players, or you can pick the players and even have them add your own photo. $29 Pretty cool.

I'm sure the Ukrainians aren't fans either.
trust me! no one was a fan !!! it was/is ?! a regime country !
LOL at Amazon description What does it have to do with air force? It's a standard issue Soviet Army ushanka. I had one for free. Only had to guard a prison in Siberia for 2 years.
