They also do adjustments if they have "Instant Manufacturers Rebate". Right now they have one for the Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable set w/ 8 AA, two AAA, the charger and some adapters to use them instead of the bigger batteries. Right now with the discount just below 20 bucks. Two weeks ago they had that instant rebate on Foster Farm Corn Dogs, which we got a week before it started, just showed my receipt and they adjusted.
I've been told if you've bought them in the last 60 days, costco will just give you the refund. Just go and talk to the membership /returns counter. I've tried this for some other items in the past and they've always given me a cash refund - even for tires that I had already installed!
$1.40 off Garden Fresh salsa! the best salsa you can buy in a store. made right here in Michigan.

Thanks for offering to check out the phones. I didn't know that about the low end and battery prices. I want to replace my 4 handset Panasonic. One handset has no display. Another died after being left in the rain. I paid $200+ for 4 handsets at best buy a few years ago. I feel like that was WAY too high, but I don't want to get cheap phones either. I lean toward Panasonic and Uniden.

Welcome to FW.
Expect you'll find that often a place you mentioned as a 'best' may have some of the worst buys in many's opinions. But on occasion here, you'll read about a good deal there, which may be an accident on the retailer's part, hard to get, or an attempt to get you into the store.
Also expect you'll be much happier with Costco.
BTW, CR had a relatively recent report on DECT 6.0 phones. I'm very pleased--e.g. sound quality, features, range, length of battery charge life--with 4 handset Panasonic DECT 6 set from Costco many coupon books back--sorry don't remember which one but that doesn't matter as the manufacturer has brought out newer models, probably a number of times, since.

We were using Uniden and are quite happy with them, except for the range, but DECT is supposedly better for the range. It was a 3 hanset set w/ answering machine, also from Costco about 5 years ago. Now the batteries reach the end of life. The first one went about 6-7 months ago and I got a replacement at Fry's for 6.99. That one failed again before the other original two went down to about 30-45 minutes of talk time. I'm not sure whether I just got a bad one. Online they had some around $10 plus shipping. In WalMart they didn't have the ones that fit, but are typically 15-19 bucks. With the coupon the Panasonic is just 20 bucks per handset, not counting the base/answering machine.
I also like the new Uniden DECT they at Costco right now, it has a full corded phone as base station. If I new there was a rebate coming for that one I might suffer the old ones a little longer.
Anyone have a price for the Panasonic cordless phones after $30 coupon?? Thanks.

Hi everyone! I need some help. I am technologically challenged. I want to buy a desktop tower(got a great monitor) that has enough memory to download lots of photographs (I sell things on eBay frequently) and my husband also needs to use Excel to store spreadsheets for his restaurant. Where do you recommend that I look for one and what features should I look for and memory. Any help would be appreciated!

Just get any desktop, it will suit your need perfectly. Btw, get a decent video card (no need to be high-end) like ATI 43xx series.
Those high-end gears are for gaming or programming.

They were $129.99 before coupon discount here in San Diego yesterday. Typically it's the same in other places, but not always.

How did you figure the $129.99? I can't find a match for the item number on the coupon, and the coupon's picture, to anything on the costco site. Did you figure out which model is in the coupon book?

I was in the store yesterday and looked at the Panasonic w/ 5 handsets because I wondered the same thing. I also liked the Uniden with the corded handset at the base station, but no discount on that one for now. There's no way to figure it out otherwise, customer service doesn't give pricing info on the phone, but they tell whether something is stocked or not.
fivetalents said: Depends on your store. Take you receipt to the returns counter first and ask for a price adjustment. They will either give it to you right away, no questions asked, or they will ask you to buy another 30 packs at the sales price then bring the 30 packs back to the returns desk with your July 25th receipt and fully refund you whatever you paid in July. The 2nd option is a little backwards but 30 x $8 is more than worth it.When I did this for a Garmin GPS a few months ago, they had me go to the service desk in front of the registers (where you go to pick up stuff that they keep locked up). They gave me back the coupon amount. I had originally gotten on line at the returns desk but they sent me to the other place. The only problem with that could be if there is a purchase limit on the coupon (if it there is, if they enforce it).
BTW I haven't tried it, but the Garmin 285W looks like a nice unit. I tried the 265 when Costco had it on sale but did not like the FM traffic. I ended up keeping the 780 because the MSN traffic was much better for me and the GPS itself was ok. The 285 with MSN traffic would be the best of both worlds. Of course, even that model is probably 2 generations old at this point.,

However, I got a new DECT system (5 handset) at Staples a few months ago. I only bought it because I was getting FiOS and thought I would only have phone wiring at one jack (turns out I was wrong), but my batteries had started to go, anyway, and the extra handsets are useful (I only had 2 on my old system).
I swore off Panasonic phones after I had one die after 14 months and the best they offered me was to sell me a refurbished unit for $10 less than I had paid for it new. Fortunately, AMEX paid for it since it was under the extended warranty. My last two phones have been Uniden and I really like them (although I will admit that the Costco Panasonic system has some really nice features).

fosterdeep said: i dont have this coupon book, can i pint this out and use it at costco? thanksAs others have said, printing them won't work, amongst other things because the barcode is not there. If you cannot get a book at customer service and do not get one in the mail, you can often find someone in line with the coupon book and just borrow it. You only need a single coupon -- they all have the same UPC and once one is scanned, it takes the discount off everything in the book.

Those high-end gears are for gaming or programming.Don't even worry about the video card. For your need, go with the cheapest desktop you can find from a reliable manufacturer. You'll be all right.

Argh... Just ordered tires online from costco on saturday. Hope they still give me the discount.
all coupons have the same bar code, and at most costcos you do not the booklet, they will scan the coupon on the checkout counter.

My girlfriend and I always fight whether to get the Haagen Daz or the Skinny Cow ice cream when we go to Costco. Last month I won because there was a coupon for Haagen Daz. This month... well I might hide the coupon book from her.

Maybe because before a holiday starts. Maybe before some supermarkets start Friday sales. Maybe because some manufacturer could offer something then. Maybe because of the number 17. Maybe because. Pick one or feel free to suggest another.

they're bad w/ tire refunds. I tried exactly that, about 2 years ago. Front desk said that tire dept. was different, and tire dept. refused. It was only 2 weeks prior to coupon start date! I even went to another one, and they declined as well. I STILL get mad thinking about that!
Yeah. I expected it to start on Monday and didn't look closely enough at the date. So I filled up my cart with coupon items, got to the checkout and the guy says "You know the coupons aren't good until Thursday, right."
*sigh*

Do you know if Costco has more tire selections instore than their online website? They seem to only show 3 different tires that fit my car on their website but are pretty expensive.
