Good idea for Long Road Trips. The steel cable looks thin. Maybe a 14 gauge cable. Need to put a heavy-duty chain instead. Probably should hide it under the seat or bolt it inside the trunk.

looks like you can just get a wire snipper and cut the wire in two seconds.
