Here is my entry to the contest. Black Friday sounded like an 80's metal band, so I went the route of a band tee.

These are some great ideas but you all really need to read the OP--there are some restrictions about intellectual property, and the number of colors. Some of these will look like absolute trash when you start half-toning.
Love the ideas though!

I definitely didn't follow any of the rules. I just seen the contest and got excited. Oh well, back to the drawing board.

Technologist said: MIGHT I suggest that FW also allow users/members to BUY a winning shirt, should they want?
Some of us might actually consider PAYING for the right to advertise the site to others in our area... and some may like the winning shirt so much we want to buy 3, or 4, or 10 to give to friends/family!
*PS, DO I get a free winning shirt (or 3) for offering the suggestion? FW makes a buck off everybody that buys one, plus you get a printing discount for BUYING more shirts, and everyone is happy!*
Lets make it easy... if this response gets 100 GREEN, then you offer the winning shirt for sale...
What's the news Tech, have you been able to use your negotiation skills?
My shirt says it all. The basic theme for all black friday is to save. I wanted to make it as simple as possible so the shirt doesn't seem to crammed up with junk while trying to express as much as possible. The letter S in savings is created from 2 fatwallet logo placed on top of each other and slightly rotated.

Thanks! Glad you pointed out the 3 color thing, I just read right over it
Wow. I just looked through all of this year's submissions to date. There are some REALLY talented folks on FW! I'm totally impressed and (more than) a little jealous.
ETA: why aren't ALL of the submissions posted in this thread posted with the other 2009 design submissions on FW's Facebook page? In fact, a LOT of them are missing.

Some people posted in the thread just to be funny, some to get some feedback from FWers before submitting their final design. I believe the Facebook ones are the ones that were actually entered in the contest according to the instructions in the OP

The theory behind this shirt is transformation & E-volving from a "Paid too much" newbie to a veteran deal seeker.

I had an idea for a shirt... Fatwallet the website that derails full retail... with a cartoon image of a train and derailed railroad track... but I have no time to design it..
Great jobs for those that designed shirts I have seen many great ones this year!!
Here's my entry again...had time to swap out the clip art for an actual drawn stylized bill so won't be violating any copyright. I think FatWallet swirl looks really good in black!
Love the simplicity of Hater's "black on black" and love the comic-book-geekiness-joy of waiipor's "super fat wallet".
You guys are making me want to NOT vote for my own entry!

Just to be clear (since this is the last day of the contest and I could see someone getting confused by this statement), I think njgheewala means that hopefully everyone who posted their designs here also submitted them to FW so that they APPEAR in the Facebook gallery. To enter, as listed in OP:
To Enter
* Email your design in .jpg, .eps, or PDF file format to: tshirtdesign@fatwallet.com * You must be a FatWallet member to enter. Limit one entry per member. * Deadline for entries is October 16, 2009, 5:00 PM CST
You do NOT (and cannot) actually submit them in Facebook itself (AFAIK).
But again, to njgheewala's point, don't think that just because you posted in this thread that your design is entered.
