Thanks for the post. My brother did the trial last time, and I liked the store. Unfortunately I live 20 miles away from one but never the less, I will have to sign up for a trial as well this time around!
I think you actually could join on 10/2 or even 10/1 and have the membership expire on 12/31/09. Last time I did one of these, July 7th was 60 days from when I joined and it was good until the end of July. It is also worded as "...a minumum of 60 days,..." I'm thinking their system is setup to only have memberships expire on the last day of the month, and not random days throughout the month. And for people along 422 near Philly, there is a sign near the Target in Oaks about a BJs 'coming soon', don't know how soon, but they'll probably (I hope) have new membership specials.

That's true - it should go to the end of the month. I joined mid June and mine just expired Aug 31.

thanks for the heads up, good info. either way, if you want to have this to use around the holidays in Decemeber, wait until after 10/1 to use the 60 day trial coupon.

I joined in mid July. Mine expires 9/30 (if you sign up for an online account, it will tell you). So I plan on using this one 10/1. I've signed up for two of these free trials, although never back to back. But I definitely won't be paying to extend the membership with this available, which I had been considering.
The one real advantage of BJs over Costco (I don't have a Sams Club) is that they carry Pampers diapers, and sometimes they have $4 off coupons. With an already low price, the $4 coupon, and any manufacturer's coupon (usually $2), it's a really good deal on diapers.
My local BJs (I still had my previous two month trial) is running a membership promotion: A full year for $45 but they offer: $10 coupon off next purchase (may be restrictions), 2 extra months, and a coupon booklet. I know the coupon booklet had $5 off Pampers and I believe also a big coupon for Huggies diapers.
That makes it almost $25 for us. Baby food is almost 50% cheaper than at Target, so this is probably one time I'll pay up to join.

I sign up every time there is a 60 day trial coupon and have probably signed up 10 different times over the past few years. I just signed up again for the holiday promo after completing the summer promo.

has anyone that clearly got the 60 day trial from the spring time, tried to get this one and you showed up in their database and was denied?

I just did it today - and good to the end of the year. This is my 3rd one this year and no problem at all.
The wife and I stopped by the Tampa store today to activate our 60 day membership, and they're running a "special" deal, 14 months of membership for $35 (+tax).

Concord NC did the same. The woman was sure to point out I could cancel and get a full refund just a couple days before the 14 months was up if I wanted to.
