McDonald's is having a promotion for a free Redbox Rental with the purchase of a large drink or large combo. There is a peel off coupon with a code. States that the promotion code can only be redeemed at redbox on the property of participating McDonald's location.
Wonder if the large $1 ice tea works for this deal...hell, I was planning on picking one up on the way home at our MD's, figure a free ice tea would be a nice free extra...unless I have to wait in the drive thru and breath COČ for more than 3 minutes.

They still have the $1 large drinks going on. Was too lazy to search if someone posted already and then see when the $1 large drink ends.

I thought google was taking over the world, but it seems like Redbox is gaining ground fast.. Probably only a matter of time till google sees the threat and buys them out. Then we will have googlebox

My closest McD's did not have the $1 large drinks anymore. But, I will check on the codes next time! Thanks for the heads up.

Some do still have $1 large drinks going on, and some don't, only having $1 large sweet teas.
As for the original question, as noted in the "some do" case, it does seem that the $1 large drink does qualify you for the free DVD rental, in at least some locations. YMMV, as franchise operations tend to be.

The $1 "Sweet Tea" is disgusting to me. I don't know if it's the styrofoam cup they use or what awful sweetener they put in it, but it's nothing like the good stuff that restaurants have in the South. Not even close. But then again you get what you pay for.
