Flaming Hot Deal!!

Even if you don't need them for a printer, hot deal to buy them and trade in for $3 each at Staples, especially if you shop there alot.

Don't forget CashBack- fatwallet is 3%, bing.com is 2 - 6%

well, you can buy used ink carts on eBay about 100 for $40 shipped (.40 ea) and trade them in. I'd say you're better off passing on this if you're not using them for a real printer and just to recycle.

Meritline is a scam company that has ripped myself and many others off. There are sites that have good deals on ink...I've had good experience with Swiftink.com.

Plus, the Staples deal is YMMV...generally it won't work for Brother cartridges.

Good price. I use these in my DCP-100c. No problem getting credit for them at Staples.

I have never heard bad stories about Meritline and have dealt with them many times. Your statement about the Staple$ recycle program is 100% false.

It looks like free shipping for 2 sets (10 carts)

Wow, really hot deal. I wonder what the difference is between the "professional" ink, and the normal? I bought a 12-pack (3 4-packs) of LC41 ink from them before, and I'm happy.

Ironically, I didn't want to wait for my shipment to arrive from Meritline, so I bought a twin-pack of Official OEM Brother black LC41 ink, and I had printing problems with it.

I had no problems with the colored ink from Meritline. So, for me, the cheap stuff is actually BETTER than the official stuff.

I still have plenty of ink though, so I might just pass on this amazing deal. Maybe.

They screwed me out of $100+ in affiliate commissions for no reason (simply told me they weren't paying me the commissions I was owed)...so there you go. Downright dishonest and I'll never do business with a company that acts like that. And as I said, I'm not the only one that has had problems with them.

And as for the Staples recycling deal, see linky...

Staples website said: We offer $3 in Staples Rewards toward a future purchase of ink or toner when HP, Lexmark™ or Dell cartridges are returned to our retail stores for recycling.
I don't see Brother in there. Yes it may work for some people but it is still YMMV. Their main purpose in recycling these cartridges is to reuse the ones with built-in printheads (HP/Lexmark) so they can resell them with new ink. It's pointless to do this for Brother cartridges...might as well manufacture a new plastic shell for them like the cheapo ink makers do.

can they be used on mfc-5860cn printer?
thx

sorry but that's your problem, this is a site to post deals, not bitch about affiliate commissions. to threadcrap here because you have an issue with a merchant THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH DEALS/MERCHANDISE and is based on a business relationship with them is total nonsense.

The link that you provided is an old page about corporate responsibility, etc.
Have a look- Recycle ANY Ink & Toner at Staples. http://www.staples.com/sbd/cre/products/3dollar_inkrecycle/

So, this deal will work.

Wouldn't THIS be a better deal?? 3 of each (black, yellow, blue, pink) for $10.95?

Review:
"Used the cheaper version of the generic inks for years with good results. These professional grade cartridges killed the printer one color(cartridge) at a time. Service man said the ink was to thick and permenately clogged the print head. Checked the other unopened ones I had and ink was a lot thicker than normal. Ink was in storage for no more than 6 months. Order the non-professional ones. They work. Had to scrap printer."

That sounds bad. I still have a couple of sets of the non-professional ink, and now two sets of the professional ink. I'm debating whether to return these two sets of professional ink, or keep them. Anyone else want to comment on that review?

I think this is the same stuff that ABCink sells (I wonder if Meritline and ABC are the same company...). I've used the "professional" ink from ABCink without problem. I did notice that the cartridges had more ink in them though!
