Just FYI. These cameras do not work with Windows 7. I could never understand why MS is one of the worst companies supporting drivers for their own operating systems.

I can confirm that this webcam works great with Windows 7 x64. I was able to Skype to my father-in-law in Ansterdam last night without problems. I was sitting about 10' from the mic, and it worked great too.

I didn't bother with the drivers that came on the CD. I downloaded the latest from microsoft.com

OP, I suggest that to put 'webcam' in the title. I had an instant alert for 'webcam' but this post slipped by because it didn't have the word webcam. I doubt many people will be searching for the term 'lifecam'. Luckly I noticed this when looking at the Hot Deals forum.

Even Newegg is only $1 more, not sure how hot this is. I just want a webcam that works in Windows 7 x64 but don't want to buy junk either.

EDIT: Newegg is an OEM model.
