Hey OP, while the pirate-talk may be fine in the description area, please have mercy on us regular folk and try to refrain from including it in the title. Positively a headache-inducing trend lately on FW.

BTW - if you want this card for HTPC MKV x.264 hw decoding do homework first so far I can NOT find how to make this 4650 hw decode x.264 L5.1/8 frames it can do (older) L4.1 only looks like that is the reason ATI dropped in price more then nVidia that can decode L5.1 just fine ...
I don't play games, but I am into entertainment, media center. etc. What would be a good HDMI+ card for my A8V Asus, XP computer?
Would this card meet my qualafacations?

. depends what you watch if just BRay from bray drive than this would work just fine via PDVD but, for MKV, MP4 - this will be another story - especially if you want to use media center only - IMHO check AVS forums
