Amazon is offering a $10 off a future video game purchase coupon when you buy NBA 2K10 (coming out on 10/6). They're selling it at list price $29.99-59.99 for most platforms, $19.99 for the PC), but it seems to be cheaper than anyone has posted here (Buy.com is offering $5-6 off), if you can use the $10 video game credit. And $10 is a nice deal for the PC version (even $20 for PSP or PS2 is good).
Free Super Saver Shipping for all platforms other than PC, add $5.01 for that one, or free Prime shipping if you have that.
Updated to show it's not a full $10 gift certificate as I had originally posted, not quite as good a deal now. On the bright side, the $10 coupon will be removed from the taxable amount on the future purchase. Not clear when the coupon will expire, I've emailed Amazon to ask them.
Update: I just got a response from Amazon and they claimed "No, it will not have an expiration date." If that's the case, then it is a good deal since I'm sure I can find another video game to buy from them at some point. And I'll save the email just in case I find that I have problems using it later on, and I am sure they will make good. Anyone else who is going to order may wish to submit your own question so you have evidence of your own later on.
Another update - Amazon is now selling the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions for $52.99, Wii for $46.99, and you still get the $10 Amazon credit towards a future video game purchase.
anorexicwallet said: i got an email that its being delayed a few days to oct 12 =/ . cant wait. nba 2k9 was awesome.Yes, 10/12. And Wii is pushed back to 10/19. I did not get email but my ship date has definitely moved.
BTW can anyone confirm that Amazon does not ship games early for delivery on the release date as they do with movies?
PC version down to $17.99 today. Sadly, the $10 credit offer seems to have ended for newly placed orders. But for anyone who ordered it already, you should get it for $17.99 less $10 future game credit.
