I just got home from my local CVS and did a quick search, but didn't find this one here.

I got a enersaver brand desk lamp item number 455524 on clearance (they had several models to choose from) that was marked $4.99 for 75% off or $1.25

This lamp used an (included) CFL bulb and is pretty nice.

On the box was a mail in rebate for for $2.00 so the math is:

$1.25 + tax ($0.09 for me) = $1.34 + $0.44 stamp = $1.78 - $2.00 rebate (if it comes) = a lamp they are paying me $0.22 to take...

This closely resembles it

This 15 inch high desk lamp uses a 13 watt GU24 base compact fluorescent to deliver 800 Lumens of light, making it a good 60 watt incandescent equivalent. It has a metallic brushed silver finish. The on/off switch is an inline switch on the cord.

  • Initial Light Output: 800 Lumens (60w incandescent equivalent)
  • Color Temperature: 2,700 degrees Kelvin (warm white)
  • Power Requirements: 120 volts AC, 60 Hz
  • Height (as pictured): 15 inches high
  • Rated Lamp Life: 10,000 hours
  • Manufacturer Warranty: Two Years
  • Origin: China

Found a $15 rebate for Lansing Board of Water and Light customers. Expires 12/31/2009. Limit 12.

Any idea what's the $2 rebate limit for non-Lansing folk?

$2 rebate limit is 6.

Saw the lamps but did not look close enough to see rebate--also got an entertainment center for $5 and a desk chair for $10

Not all the lamps have the rebate forms attached to them. So look carefully. Also, be forewarned: The rebate is only good until Sept. 30, so you have to submit it fast.

I found mine in a 75 percent off section, but the scanner priced it at half off at $2.49. Pretty good deal, but not exactly what everybody else has found. The aisle at my Ann Arbor, Michigan store was a little irregular as far as prices go, but they were selling a milk shake mixer with a stainless steel cup (originally $24.99) for $2.49

One more thing that may annoy some folks: For mine, the on/off switch is not on top of the lamp itself as you would expect. But it is one of those rolling switches on the outlet cord.

is this a national deal or just a local deal?

My CVS has them 50% off and the 2.00 rebate attached to each. Limit 6 per rebate. so approx 60 cents each after bate when you figure in the tax.

The rebate form does not have any address. Do anyone know the address to submit the rebate? whether to send copy of receipt? NO REBATE INFORMATION AVAILABLE INSIDE THE BOX.

The CVS on Hard Road and Smokey Row in Columbus is where I found it for $1.25 and they still had some of them this afternoon.

ha... I picked 2 at Dallas Texas stores. They rang out $2.49 + tax, but for 70 cents, i don't complain!
AWESOME FINDING!

BTW, can both rebates go within same envelope? since it asked for Original store receipt. I'll definitely purchase 4 more just for the bulbs

You can easily find CFL's that cost less than $2.49 and will probably last longer than whatever cheap-o comes in this fixture.

b) it takes proprietary CFL's, not commonly available for cheap
