This 15 inch high desk lamp uses a 13 watt GU24 base compact fluorescent to deliver 800 Lumens of light, making it a good 60 watt incandescent equivalent. It has a metallic brushed silver finish. The on/off switch is an inline switch on the cord.
Not all the lamps have the rebate forms attached to them. So look carefully. Also, be forewarned: The rebate is only good until Sept. 30, so you have to submit it fast.
I found mine in a 75 percent off section, but the scanner priced it at half off at $2.49. Pretty good deal, but not exactly what everybody else has found. The aisle at my Ann Arbor, Michigan store was a little irregular as far as prices go, but they were selling a milk shake mixer with a stainless steel cup (originally $24.99) for $2.49

One more thing that may annoy some folks: For mine, the on/off switch is not on top of the lamp itself as you would expect. But it is one of those rolling switches on the outlet cord.
The rebate form does not have any address. Do anyone know the address to submit the rebate? whether to send copy of receipt? NO REBATE INFORMATION AVAILABLE INSIDE THE BOX.

MBZ32190 said:You can easily find CFL's that cost less than $2.49 and will probably last longer than whatever cheap-o comes in this fixture.a) it's not $2.49, it's 70c b) it takes proprietary CFL's, not commonly available for cheap
