I really don't see the point of this thing. Which video card these days does not have a DVI output? If anyone's video card is so ancient that it only has a VGA output, why not spend $30 on one that has DVI output and another $5 for a DVI to HDMI cable? On top of that, this thing needs to be plugged into an wall outlet.

Mistercheap, I like most of your deals so don't get me wrong but I also was thinking the same thing. Why someone will buy this device?
sounds decent deal though as this converter usually runs around $70

It's useful for laptops. You can also get one from monoprice for about the same price with shipping, where it gets decidedly mixed reviews.

I guess if they had some older VGA equipment they wanted to modify to use on an HDMI input. one of those "hail mary" deals on my part, just in the event it's useful to someone.

Whats funny is the reviews on monoprice start out bad and then steadily improve. No mix just bad, bad, bad then good, good good

Maybe they improved the product
