Saw this on tv this morning. NTB is having a deal on select tire brands Yokohama, Sumitomo, Falken and Cooper. Must purchase the King package for each tire. (never shop at NTB and have no idea what the King package is. more than likely its an inflated road hazard package). On the surface it sounds like a good deal.

It's a scam. There is not enough markup on tires to give two away for free. I would advise to stay away from this company anyway. I bought my last set of tires from them and they tried to force an $89.99 alignment package on me. When I told the guy I had just had an alignment done at the dealership he tried to tell me they had done it wrong. I told him he was a scam artist trying to rip me off. I should have waited until my car was back on the ground to call him names because he went back out and intentionally changed the alignment on my car and now I need to replace two of my tires because of uneven wear. Since then I've been told that this type of game is SOP for a lot of tire shops but especially the NTB chains. Good luck to anyone who deals with this company.
BTW, they also told me I needed a new battery. He was lying about that too as I am still using the same battery today, 16 months later.

They quoted $240 just to installed 4 tires, alignment, and road hazard warranty for this deal. Way of a rip off!! Avoid!!
what kind of tires? $240 for 4 tires, installation, alignment and road hazard sounds pretty good to me. that's only $60 per tire for everything according to you.
I also almost jumped on this NTB deal with the promo but i didnt want the King package or Alignment. So I ended up getting some Yokos from DiscountTireDirect.com They are running free shipping and $40 rebate on Yokos and another brand until Saturday. Free ship+ no tax means you just have to pay to get them mounted locally.
I agree, the installation package is probably costly, but for someone who needs an alignment as well - it's probably not such a bad deal. To add to OP's post, this deal is also at NTB's sister companies, Merchant's Tire and Tire Kingdom in case there's no NTB next to you. I can't imagine though how many people are going to be lined up in the 7am-9am window.. Good luck!
$89 is too much for alignment unless it is one of those multi-year/lifetime pkgs . I guess that this offer could still be decent for expensive sizes of tires and you happen to need an alignment .
I am in need of a set of 235/85/15 E tires for my old F250 and searching for a deal.

I'm at Merchant's right now waiting for my car. Buy 2 get 2 free must get Alignment + Road Hazzard insurance, something my car will need. Alignment is $110 for 1 year or $150 for 3 years. Road Hazzard is about $10-12 per tires.
First time at this shop, hope it is a good experience.
When buoying online you save some but you give up free rotate and balance (which needs to be done every 7,500 k miles) and road hazard warranty might be a problems .

The NTB "Sale" ends today. It was not a hot deal for me. I will wait for something better .
