I've been tracking the price of the LP-E6 Battery for the 7D (which starts shipping next week), and Amazon's price has dropped to $58.35 with Free Super Saver Shipping, which is the lowest it's been in a long time. Prices at some other major authorized retailers are:
If you have the 5DM2, you might remember these batteries being in very short supply, and sellers charging up to $170 for them (which is the majority of 1 star reviews - people whining about the price gouging and not the product). It's too early to tell if this might happen after people start receiving the 7D - but at $58, you can't go wrong. Also, I'd avoid 3rd party batteries, as the genuine Canon version has intelligent reporting functionality, and the 3rd party batteries don't.

Yes, that was available when I posted, but I've read quite a few bad reviews for DB Roth, despite their Amazon ratings (i.e. http://beatthat.com/merchants/show/d-b-roth). I paid the extra $1.26 to be on the safe side.
