Seems like a good deal (41% off). Haven't played this one myself, but I've heard good things about it. 7.5/10 on Boardgamegeek.

Use some filler to get it up to $25 and save on shipping. Here's one of the expansions for $6.

LINK

Big box version with a bunch of expansions is $54.52 - Linkazon

Have fun!

Carcassonne is a great game. Even my 5 year old son can play it. I suggest Inns and Cathedrals, Abbey and mayor and The River expansions. I would not get the scout or the count. Counting the score is the hardest part of this game.

Great game, people of all skill levels can enjoy it!

Great game -- and note that while it comes in a box, it's actually played with square tiles, so it's a lot more portable than a true board game.

Carcassonne (176.85kB)

Carcassonne Board (76.59kB)

I was just in Carcassonne (the real city) this summer.

(I agree with the other posters - it is a great game.)

Never played the game, but the town is beautiful. There's a restaurant in there that serves the best cassoulet. I really need to get back to France soon -- guess I need to hit the Travel forum...

Oh boy! FW brings another fun element to light - besides all the great DDR memory, flat panel monitors, etc. FW hooked me and my family into Settlers of Catan last year - and now this looks like another fun similar-style game. Thanks OP. I probably never would have discovered these games if it hadn't been for FW. Settlers of Catan has become our family favorite - now it looks like we may have another. Can't wait to try it out.

Good game at a good price.

Be warned, Carcassonne is a gateway game IMHO Carcassonne and Settlers of Catan are great examples of games you play that make you want to play (and buy) more games. There are many a boardgame geek with stories of "I thought I'd just try it . . . just once . . . but . . . "

I'll echo everyone else and say that it's a fun game. $22 is a good deal for it.

Too true. I got hooked with Munchkin, which led to Settlers, and then I recently played Dominion and I'm jonesing to pick that up too.

I found lower price at some places, not sure the cost of shipping:
$17.35 Text
$16.99 Text
(Free ship at $100 I believe)

I was checking out some stores like this, and shipping always kills the deal. If anybody finds a place that will do free shipping, I encourage them to post in this thread

Have you found a good deal on Dominion?

There's another Euro card game that's extremely fun called "Bang!". It's like that game Mafia, but it uses a Spaghetti Westerns theme. 4-7 players. Oh man... it's really fun.

Nope, that's how I found this deal funnily enough. Been waiting for a sale on Dominion but I might just pony up soon.

Yeah, Bang! is awesome too. If you're considering that game, my friends recommend the bullet.
