Lowe's is having a 10% off all sheds right now and the Lifetime Outdoor Storage Shed (8'L x 7.5'W x 6'8"H) is 10% off its $897 price. Not a spectacular deal until I noticed that the 2.5' expansion kit ($228 value) was free with purchase of the shed. Even better, the Lifetime $78 storage accessory kit was on clearance for $19.50! I've been pricing the 8x8 "resin" sheds for some time and this is the best price that I've seen.

Important to note, the door is actually more than 6 feet high, not so for many of the other so called 6 foot high door frames.

Shed: 299053
Expansion Kit: 299060
Accessory Kit: 299061

Sorry, corrected the price typo and added the word Shed. In my excitement to post, I left out the most important detail. Hope y'all had a chance to cash in on the deal. -

"Lowe's 8' x 7.5' w/ free 2.5' expansion kit $807.30 exp. 9/28/09"
You might want to add 'Shed' to the title.

Wonder if we can add the 10% coupon to this and make it even sweeter?????

Please note when you go to pick up this model that is weighs in at over 400 pounds. Don't plan on picking it up in your Prius.

And, that these sheds are Lifetime in name only. Ten year warranty. So, any warranty past ten years on this Lifetime product is basically, If it breaks the lifetime is over.

Looks like these could make one fine outhouse.

When I was looking for sheds, not that I have one, I ran across these Durasheds. It’s wind tested to 115 mph and it can support up to 1500 lbs of snow (or two gorillas) on the roof. Information not always readily available on sheds, but important. For awhile there PepBoys had the 8x 8 shed for like $500 incl floor kit. Not sure if they will ever have them again.

This post looks nicer and is heavier which should be a better build.

Western lowland gorilla or Eastern lowland gorilla? There is a difference.

Shows regular price is $897, not $798. Was the free expansion kit an in store advertisement?

Also no stores near me sell the accessory kit. Will have to check a store tomorrow while the deal is still good.

Forgot to mention that the accessory kit was a clearance item. The Folsom, CA store had about 5 left as of Saturday.

Yep, this will work.

For $90 more Sam's Club has the actual 8'x10' shed but a more deluxe version. The one at Sam's Club has a few more features. It has an 8' shelf that goes across the back wall and 2 additional corner shelves for the front. It also has 6 small skylights at the peak, and 2 larger ones on the roof itself. Now that I have one with the skylights, I wouldn't buy one without them. They let a ton of light into the shed so you can actually see what you're doing in there in the daytime. Also note that they do NOT leak. They're sealed with 1/8" thick butyl tape. We've had some really bad downpours this summer with high winds too and not once was there even a drop inside the shed. Regarding light inside, I also picked up a nice motion sensor solar light and mounted that inside for use at night.

One important thing to note is that you have to build this shed on a completely flat surface, otherwise the pieces will not line up when you go to assemble it. I built a pressure-treated wood platform with decking material on top. That sits on top of concrete blocks and the shed was constructed on top of all of that then bolted down.

That's a very important point to remember with any of these types of shed.

FWIW.. I have the same shed but got it from Costco. It's made by Brighton. The expansion kit should give it 4 windows instead of 2. These aren't really windows.. Just an access hole with a plexi glass that can slide up and down. Nothing fancy here. A couple of things.

I've had this for almost 2 years now and it's holding together pretty well. The important thing is to build a base for the shed. DO NOT assemble the shed over grass or un-even surface. You are going to find moisture up on the floor over time and as noted in the earlier post. You'll have fun trying to put it together on an un-even surface.

It comes in 2 boxes, I guess 3 with the expansion kit. It's heavy. I got mine from costo so delivery to my house was included. Installation can be done with 1 person but a 2nd hand help is important. I did it myself and between building the floor platform and assembling the shed, it was a 2 days job.

$800 for this 8x10 shed, it's a good price. It's a solid shed. Not as good as a wood one but no maintenance. Mine has gone through 2 winters and some high winds and no problem.

I brought this from Lowes last time for $400 with 30% off. Which is the best deal I ever make. Still the accessories kit is a good bargain. GFU.

$400 including the extension.

Checked the accessories, original price for $90. On sale for $19.xx However, don't see it worth the 19.xx. I would rather get some 2x4 to make shelves inside.
