Dell just discounted the new black Nokia 5530 (GSM) to $230. Add Bing 15% Cash Back and that brings it down to $195.50 + tax (free shipping). Costco also has an online special for $250 w/20 games preloaded (good too: Sims3, Spore, Monopoly, etc), worth about $100, but for this price you can pick and choose the games you like with the savings.

This is a great phone if you want an unlocked touchscreen only phone w/o a data plan. Seems that radiation isn't too bad for a smart phone as well (.71W/kg).
You missed one big advantage of this phone: it's the smallest touchscreen only smartphone you can buy! Also, it has a faster processor than the Nokia 5800.
It isn't supposed to have one but the Costco description says that it does. I'm pretty sure that it's a mistake though. I think they just copied the Nokia 5800 description. There are inconsistencies throughout their page. In one place it says that it comes with a 4GB card and in another 8GB for example. It is supposed to be 4GB.
The lack of GPS is the reason the package is smaller and they can get away with a smaller/lighter battery. I figured I would just install maps without GPS and wait for the higher end phones to come down in price next year at which point we'll be able to get GPS, Wifi, and small package around this price range.
In that case 5800 does serve the need...we had it for a month,,and it works great with GPS,WIFI,3G

The 5800 is ok but not great. I had it as well but returned it. I expect that the next revision will be pretty good. They need to get the thickness under .5" and put in a faster processor. It is usable but noticeably slow when navigating through menus. Hopefully the next revision will eliminate the scrollers as well, replacing them with gestures. The cost savings for the 5530 is an added bonus but the 5800 is still acceptably priced for a budget phone. I think we won't see the rumored 5900 until mid-2010 though.
