Why store something like this for years when it'll be used maybe once in a blue moon. williamv82 said: renting cost around $100 for 4 hours. Makes more sense to buy one.
Like WillV says, the one rental almost pays for this. You can always sell it off when you feel your done tiling for life or feel compelled to de-clutter. I use mine to slice lunch meat between tiling jobs
I have a harborFreight 10" tile saw but put a nice "Hot Dog" blade on it and it cuts everything from marble to basic cermiac perfect. So no matter what tiel saw you get, always get a good blade if you want it to work well.
As was pointed out in another forum, this item isn't carried locally and might be hard (or impossible) to return in-store (and obviously expensive to return online). Just a heads-up.

Got one (don't forget %5 CashBack from Discover Card - if you have one) Total $152.29 5% Discover -$7.61 Grand Total $144.68
I've seen several of these for sale on Craigslist for about $100. The two I just read said, "Used once." Might be a good idea to check CL and then invest in a new blade, since that's recommended anyway. Good price for new, though.
Figured I check myself and indeed it is a great price for new. LOL

HD here in South FL rents these for $33 for 4 hrs. or ~$50 for 24 hrs. They are high quality, MK units similar to this one at Amazon...which is going for $147.58 right now. I've never used the Husky model, so I can't say how they compare, but I've been really impressed w/ the quality and performance of the MK machines.
I received an email from Home Depot with UPS tracking info. Got that e-mail this morning, but it shipped yesterday. It was delivered about an hour ago. I get to put it to use tonight because I still have a few more tiles to lay in my bathroom. Perfect timing.
So I used the wet saw last night. Works great. Took about 20 minutes to assemble. Very sturdy and well built. The motor is bit loud, but that doesnt bother me. FYI, pick up two AAA batteries for the laser....not included. Dont throw away the box either, otherwise you wont have anywhere to put it. Def worth $140

Glad to hear it worked out so well and thanks for the heads up on the needed batteries. You put that to use right away. I guess it's now up to $180. Probably still a good deal? I saw another thread with HD 10% moving coupon. I wonder if you could use that?

I own this saw and have had it for about 4 years. I used to install floor covering for a living. I used it on probably 30 tile installations. Mostly new construction homes. I'm on my 3rd blade. This is a great saw for the do it yourselfer. Its not a professional saw but you can still get professional results. A professional unit can run from $600 up to $2000ish.
It will cut large tiles , however if you are installing on a 45 degree pattern you will have to cut from one side then turn the tile around and cut from the other side. I used it on a very high end house with 24" tiles.
Tip: When you go to replace the blade dont buy the original. Pay a little extra for a good blade.
The difference between this saw and a professional saw is the power of the motor, and the ability to cut larger tiles with ease.
When you use this saw push the tile very slowly into the blade. Otherwise you will bog down the motor and your cut wont be as smooth.
Dont rely on the laser aiming gadget thats built in. Measure your tile, and use a speed square to mark your cut all the way across the tile. The laser is unreliable.
Another tip: After you've used it for a few jobs your blade may seem like its not cutting as well as when it was new. Take a brick and cut it in half. Bricks are soft but this will "freshen" your blade by cleaning out any residue that forms. This isnt critical but it helps a little.
NEVER cut with this saw without having the pump running and water cooling the blade. You will warp the blade.
Bottom line: If you are planning on installing your own tile then this is the saw for you. The price is right, and you can get the same results as you could if you were using a $2000 saw.
If anyone has any tile installation questions feel free to message me. I will help in any way that I can.
This saw is on sale again at $149.88 for Cyber Monday. Use coupon code CYBER for $10/$100 to get the same deal as the OP.
HD CashBack places: Bing: 8% but combinable with coupon is questionable. eBates: 7% and hopefully coupon works here. The BFRIDAY coupon was combinable. ShopDiscover: 5%. Not sure about coupon use though. FW: Up to 5% Pick your poison.
