This is a good deal. I got lucky last weekend and found an elite holiday bundle with LEGO Indiana Jones and Kung Fu Panda for $299 at Micro Center and they are giving away a $50 gift card with purchase of an elite. Rebate eligible also.

THAT'S last year's holiday bundle... its listed on Amazon as the 2008 Holiday Bundle... the new one is with LEGO Batman & Pure. Just FYI for all.
Cool, you did that for me I was hoping that $250 b4 rebate so I licked on your thread. It was just too confusing for me
mamamoss said:tuan2 said:$250 AR would be clearer to understand, just my opinion. Include mean adding in, but rebate would be subtraction, too conflicting for me.

Hmm should I return the Dell one ... it is $35 cheaper after tax without 2 games ... That depends entirely on whether you want Pure and LEGO Batman. LEGO Batman retails for $20 ($18 at Amazon), and Pure retails for $30 ($28 on Amazon). If you happen to want both of those games NOW, then it's cheaper to go with the Amazon bundle. That said, since most of the xbox sold between now and Christmas (and a month or two after) will come bundled with these the used games market will be flooded with these two games in the coming months.
On Amazon's site it is clearly stated = Newest Version Yep, and the fact that it says "2009 Holiday Bundle" and it has LEGO Batman/Pure is pictured. Kreon360 doesn't know what he's talking about.

How is buying an older model of the 360, which is more likely to RROD, "lucky"?

How is buying an older model of the 360, which is more likely to RROD, "lucky"? Well, there's definitely been reports of RRoD on Jasper already and I haven't seen anything saying Jasper actually is any less prone to RRoD compared to Falcon. MS is pretty tight lipped about those things (naturally) and there's really no good data out there... at least as far as I know. I guess one advantage to the older Elite, though, is that it comes with HDMI cable; they took it out when they dropped the price to $300 and MS will charge you an arm and a leg for it (yes you can get a 3rd party one online for a lot cheaper and it'll work just as well).
Plus, it's "lucky" he got a bundle at microcenter. They were giving you $50gc ON TOP OF the $50 mail in rebate - effectively $200.
