It's all over the internet, if you know what I mean. Not sure why it's not here.
C/P, thanks jjm004:
Free Comcast HBO for 12 months - self-terminating - YMMV.
I just received an offer for free HBO with Comcast for 12 months. It will self terminate after the 12 month period. You will need to call in order to keep the service after the promotional period. Requires subscription to Comcast Digital Cable at regular rates and may not be available in all areas.
I called 1-888-865-3193 and referenced code: HBO0703. The phone number listed is specific for promotional offers.
All the rep asked for was the code, my name, and address. Very simple, no problems.
I am located in the Pittsburgh PA area.
The rep mentioned it may take up to 72 hours for HBO to be activated.
I just had to chime in here. I pay for HBO and have forever. I regard my subscription fee for HBO as patronage to the arts (like the full size PBS pledge I should make )
There's always room for improvement, after all not every effort HBO makes is The Sopranos, but they are by far the best thing out there. It's one of the few bills I pay that I'm happy to do so.
It works in Pittsburgh, I received the postcard, but assumed it was a by user only. That is why I didn't post it here. It takes a very long 72 hours to activate, however we watched Tropic Thunder last night, and it made the wait worthwhile.
Below is what happened on the online chat with the REP. got access to the channels instantly.. took less that 10 min on the whole.. GL all
this is for North Arlington NJ 07031

Do you need to commit for a period of 12 months - I was told there is a $75 termination charge for contracts.

Worked via online chat in 60178. Told her I wanted to downgrade my digital preferred package to digital starter and she quickly offered me to stay with digital preferred for $49/month (reg. price $70.98/month) and threw in free HBO for 12 months. No contract/agreement.
EDIT: Also had to pay the $1.99 one-time fee.

The promotion is fully active in MA, I called and the rep told that I had already had HBOas part of a previous promotion that I recieved back in May, lol. When I checked I actually did have have HBO so I guest it worked out for me.
I got this out of the blue in Connecticut (Branford) I signed a 2 year contract that lowered my digital cable charges. Uverse is being installed in our area and they are afraid everyone will jump ship. When I got home after visiting the service center I noticed I was getting HBO. Not free porn but not bad. I got my bill for the past few months...sure enough the charge for HBO is offset by a credit. Now I know it is only for a year. But still...not bad.

The person that answered the phone was very rude and stated it was an online offer only. She called back and got a supervisor and stated how rude the other person was and this person was very apologetic. We now have free HBO for 1 year and free SHOWTIME for the next 6 months.
