Makes you wonder why they agreed to put the coupon in an online publication. It'll be one of those YMMV situations where some managers will take it, and some might not.
No print for me. Has a big black rectangle obscuring the bar code. Can anyone post a decent one?
n.m. figured it out.

This is an online publication of an actual magazine...my guess is they won't accept a printout, it looks like it should be the original out of the mag.
oh yes it will fly. mine printed out fine even tho blurry on screen. and...cashier can just key in bar code number if scanner doesn't read it. VERY VALID!

Good luck! Totally not scannable at a register.
however, if you print out just "right side" of page (whole page, exactly as shown) it prints out with minimal blurriness. it does eat alot of red ink, but quality to scan seems fine to me.

I tried to print just the coupon and like another poster said I got a big black box across the coupon. When I did as Mistercheap said and printed the whole page (good by red and much of my black ink)I got a copy of the coupon, small (2" x 3") but still it is a coupon

That's what I printed... the whole page. All the black scan lines are one big blotch once you zoom in. NOT scannable.

but why are you "zooming?" mine didn't print out that way jonnash, bar code is normal and scannable. just choose "print right side of page" at link for page 31 and click "print selection only" on your print preview options screen. that's what i did.

Finally after many months LOVING this site, I feel able to contribute a bit. CVS is one of my favorite stores ever.
Just sign up online with your customer care card number to get on the mailing list. Usually a minimum of twice monthly you'll get an email with links to print up 3/15 or 5/25 type coupons. Match those with weekly coupons (internet printable or Sunday paper type)- along with ECB (extra care buck) deals and this store can really be a big score! They also have clipless coupons too, available up front usually by their weekly ads in the store. By being on that email list, too, I get regular mailers loaded with 'in store cnps' through USPS several times a year which are fully stackable with manufacturer's coupons. I also took the 'flu quiz' from their site and scored yet another 5/25 deal. I also am signed up to take survey's for them and earn printable ECB's as well.
Other ways creating an account online can be beneficial is that you can view your accumulated ECB 'bucks' (from the quarterly rewards earned). This way you can print them up before going to the store instead of having to wait till getting there and having to buy something in order to get the reward printout on your receipt.
Its been my experience (from all 6-7 stores in my general area - Columbus, Ohio) that these dollar off coupons can be used more than once as long as you meet the requirements. For example, last week I use my 5/25 printout deal twice (same barcode, just printed it twice).
They had a front page ad (still good till today). You had to spend 25 dollars on items from the ad and would get 10 dollar ECB back. The Tide was 6.00/ea. (32 load). Got 4 Tides plus one Dawn (the extra dollar to hit 25). Total- 25.00. Give them my 5/25 print up....then 5 'one dollar' coupons (one each for the Tides and Dawn)....then got my 10.00 ECB back. Net result got my 4 Tides and one Dawn for under 6 dollars total!
Using my same 5/25 print up (same bar code, just printed it twice) For my second transaction I did 10 bags of Hershey's chocolates along with a couple extra items to hit 25.00 again. Handed her my second 5/25 printout and coupons, voila! Easy as pie....as long as used properly and meeting the requirements and the printout matches the specific customer care card (must use the proper one at the register or it won't fly).
I used to NEVER do this and thought thought they had one time use until a manager told me I could. I really hope this helps a few people. Thanks for having such a fantastic site here....I am constantly sharing the deals here with my friends, they now think I must be some sort of genius even though I always tell them where I find out about all the deals lol
Edited to add links:
To become a CVS 'advisor' and take the online surveys to earn ECB's click HERE.
To take the online flu quiz and earn an instant printable for 5/25 purchase click HERE.
to set your printer to black and white: click file, print, properties, this will bring up your print driver. you will either see a color option on the first screen or you may have to select another tab across the top to find the color / black & white option.
but why are you "zooming?" mine didn't print out that way jonnash, bar code is normal and scannable. just choose "print right side of page" at link for page 31 and click "print selection only" on your print preview options screen. that's what i did. I know more than the average bear about graphics quality, as it's part of my profession.
I am zooming in with Photoshop and Acrobat Pro after I print out the entire page to PDF, not the "zoom" on the web page.
This thing is very low resolution. There are no white spaces between many of the black lines. A register scanner will not be able to read it. So your only hope is that they will type in the numbers, but in my experience, once things don't scan, people read the thing, and the "no printouts or copies of coupon allowed, only original" terms and conditions may be the Achilles Heel on them accepting it.

medicswife2002, you helped me! I have an account with CVS. I just went to my account and noticed that I had checked no emails, changed that you yes, yes, emails, now maybe I will get some of those good coupons you mentioned
I did the tide deal yesterday....I won't have to by Tide again for years
It does keep you hopping to make sure your "Extra Dollars" do not expire, and that you use them in the best possible way
Thanks Meadowlands. This coupon is slightly blurry on my computer but from what I can read, if you copy this coupon and try to use it, you will stand a very good chance of it being rejected at the store.

Unfortunately you can't use the coupons for transferred prescriptions. I'm very glad if I helped some people so THANKS for the green above, I appreciate it! I edited my post to include the links for the flu quiz coupons and the survey sign ups to earn ECBs.
The Tide deal is when you buy 25 dollars of the included items from their front page of last week's ad then you automatically get a 10 dollar ECB on your receipt. So, the Tide was marked to 6.00/ea (32 loads). So, most bought 4 then added one more item from the ad's item list. I added one Dawn which got me to the required 25.00 for the 'deal.'
At the register they rung my 5 items costing 25.00. I handed them my 5/25 coupon from the flu quiz bringing my total to 20.00 - then 5 'one dollar' coupons (4 for Tide and 1 for Dawn) bringing my total to 15.00 - at that point I paid - then my receipt had a 10.00 ECB on it which I promptly ripped off and rolled into my second transaction (tons of Hershey's chocolate with MORE mfg cpn of course lol). The net result was all my Tides ended up costing me five bucks and change.
I always try to plan my trips to roll my ECB's on the spot with a second transaction (or third lol) so they have no chance of expiring on me.
Each week I cross compare the weekly ad to my mfg cpns, factor in any rebates, ECB deals, clippless cpns, and 'in store' cpns I have on hand. CVS is a very GOOD store to score on for certain items. VERY often items are completely free or moneymakers. Really can't complain with all that Tide, I'm now stocked for quite awhile...
When CVS sends anything that can be printed, it usually says to print it in color or b/w & bring to store, and I have not been shot down because it is b/w
