I believe the ETF is $200 after the remorse period. If you cancel during the remorse period you have to return the phone. If you don't return the phone you will be charged the full phone price.
you will need to wait past the 14 day return policy, which means you will ll have to pay for a month of service + the $200 ETF. Still a smoking deal at $280 for a TP2 w/ no contract
I'd have jumped all over this till I got my hands on a Verizon Imagio. Now if I can only figure out how to sim unlock it. I only get access to the TV service on VZW though so it's a tough one.

I was looking at that Imagio and love it. Unfortunately I am stuck on T-Mobile because of an @Home line. But I did just move into a lower plan with a $4.99 TZones (yes thats four dollars and ninety nine cents) unlimited data plan. So it cushions the blow of getting the TP2 instead of the Imagio.

Tmobile does use SIM cards which means their phones only work with GSM providers (Tmobile/ATT in the US). It will not work for Verizon or Sprint.

I have wifi everywhere I go. Just cannot bear that data plan

Will thouse old tricks work with this deal:
1.Get the Touch Pro 2 added as a third line for 9.99 to ur family plan. 2.Convert one of your existing lines which is NOT under contract to a prepaid. They give u a 5 dollar starter balance on that. It takes about 2-4 hours for them to convert the line to a prepaid. 3. Call in and ask them to PORT-IN your prepaid number to your new Touch Pro 2 line. It takes about 4 hours for the port-in to complete as this is just an internal port for T-Mobile. OR Call 611 from your NEW line (New being the keyword) Tell them you want to "MSISDN REUSE" (pronounced 'mizzdin') your old OOC number to the new number (MSISDN = Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number) They will understand what you want when you tell them about "MSISDN REUSE" Your old number will be disconnected immediately (Cancel the line), they will do it. The new number will get a message stating your number has been changed to the old number.
Dang it! I signed up a few weeks ago and got the TP2 for $150 through Amazon and now this comes along.

Thanks OP. I was thinking I missed big time on Aug promotion of 150. This is unbeatable. Anybody have idea if I can convert it to a 49.99 family plan (600min with my favs on both line. other thread) with my OOC T-Mobile line? If aybody has done that please let me know if any speicifics. Thanks in advance.
Probably U.S. is the only country which does the following.
1) Call someone and you both get charged for making/receiving call. Most countries, recipient is off the hook for any charges. 2) Data Plan mandatory based on the phone. 3) Almost 30-40% of the monthly fee is for texting/data. Most countries (wireless companies) give SMS free as its built into the mobile network, with NO (or super negligible) extra charges to the wireless company.

I just did exactly that. But it's two separate processes. I first called T-Mobile Retentions and got them to change my Single Line Unlimited Loyalty plan to the 600 min Family plan mentioned in the other thread. I then called the promo number and added 2 new lines. My single line was OOC, but to get the Family plan deal I had to re-up for 1yr.
I'm planning on cancelling the 2 new lines and pay the ETF fee. I'll still be under contract on the original line for 1yr, but I figure 1yr will go by quickly and I'll have a shiny new TP2

The T-Mobile Retentions department can still give you TZones. I don't have an SOC code, but they CAN do it. I asked for the $5.99 TZones when they were changing my plan, but the representative (really nice and helpful) said she'd give it to me for $4.99.
So if I were you, I'd keep trying until I found a csr that was willing to give it to you.

Dont you have to take data plan with this ? if you have data plan why do you need TZones ?

Thank you rtrdealin. I have already ordered TP2. I will try to get the two lines into family plan. I also have t-zone 5.99 on my old line which I am planning to use later . If it does not work I think I will have to be ready for ETF. rtrdealin said: leanwallet99 said: Thanks OP. I was thinking I missed big time on Aug promotion of 150. This is unbeatable. Is this true? I know it usually is, but the Sprint and Verizon versions of this phone are cdma AND have SIM slots, so they're dual mode or whatever you call it. Anyone know if this T-Mo version is the same? If so, it could potentially work on Sprint or Verizon as well (and by that I mean SERO of course).
