Make sure you do your shopping due diligence on these. While I love Costco, mine is charging $20 more per michelin tire than another tire chain store in town, negating the $70 coupon.
And that tire chain store raised their tire prices the same day they offered a "buy 3, get one free" deal to the extent that by buying 3 you were paying the same price as for 4 the week before.
So get a quote from a couple of places you'd like to buy tires from when there isnt a deal running and then recheck it when they put on a deal, just to make sure you're actually getting a deal...

No that's a different one which expires October 17. this one expires November 15 That's why i was trying to stack them BOTH together
I have a question,as I have never bought new tires before:
If I purchase a set of 4 tires at $110 each --> 440 + tax + Environmental Fee ==> $470 discount tire website is asking for $60 Installation & Lifetime Spin Balancing (While installation should be FREE)
Do I need it? Cause WalMart costs $7.5 for lifetime balancing. That is 7.5x4=$30 and I have a friend who works at Tire Plus who can put them on for me at no cost. I save $30. DT does NOT let me remove that $60 out of the cart. I think it comes with their tires as a requirement or something...
There has been a lot of discussion about trying for multiple discounts of $60 to $70 each, but in the end, I have never heard of anyone actually getting the extra discount. I think Michelin has found it can sell a lot of tires with the illusion of multiple discounts.
I bought Michelins myself, but I have not gotten the second discount.

It shows all the Tires seller in your area. Participating dealer will have the $70 orange circle one the right of their name Thanks for that heads up. This is the reason I end up buying Goodyear, Yokahama and Kumho. You can buy their tires as cheap with no rebates and no BS with participating dealers. And some are rated higher than Michelins.

also, make sure you have exact model #'s, cuz Sam-s and Cost-co etc. usually have a tire that you think is the same as any other tire dealer, and most people don't notice, but model will be just slightly different (like one number or letter off or something) to differentiate. They are made different and priced different. And yes, make sure you add the cost (when figuring your out the door cost) of lifetime balance and rotation and do that occasionally, otherwise you will only get 1/2 your tire life.
That said, I have two SUV's with full sets of Costco tires (BFGoodrich & Bridgestone), going on 40K and 50K miles with no problems, and awesome tread life. The tech at my Ford dealership, when I was getting an oil change, even asked me if they were recently purchased! Granted, I had them clean and shined up, but that surprised me. By the way, both sets were purchased during a similar instant rebate deal. No mailing in required. And don't wait until the first snowfall! No appointments. I had to do that one year with an older car many years ago, and waited for 3 hours in a Sammy Club before Cost-co came to my area.

You have to add apples to apples with Costco. Even at $20 more per tire they will save you the most money. Costco includes with their price a 5 year replacement warranty for any road hazard (i.e. blow out), They also offer free rotation and balancing for the life of the tire and fill the tires with nitrogen. They really blow away any other offer.
I just bought a set there and will try to stack the mail-in-rebate with their $70 off but it looks doubtful that this will work as there was no Orange circle listed for Costco.

Buy from costco even if they charge more. I'd pay for costco excellent customer service, warranty and peace of mind.
GF just bought a set of Michelin Harmony 205x60x16 from NTB. 1st - They matchedThe Tire Rack price (shipped price) 2nd - then she got the $70 coupon for the 4 michelins, 3rd - and another $40 off (as a cash Visa Card) for buying with new NTB VISA credit account they set up. 4th - (( The account has a no-interest for 6 month deal right now - perfect 'cause she has no $$ right now )) 5th - and finally a free oil change - worth $25-$30 ??
Overall then about $34 per tire off -- and no interest for 6 mos
FYI ....Discount Tires in Georgia is adding an additional $30 in store instant rebate on Michelin/ Goodyear tires through this weekend.
In North Carolina, they are flexible as well on tire prices.

Hmmm. I don't believe the Michelin mail-in rebate can be combined with the Costco rebate. When you go to Michelin tire website and search under "Tire Dealer Locator", Costco is not shown as participating in the fall promotion. (The participating dealers are shown with a round, yellowish-orange icon that contains "$70" within it.) This is the case for Costco in Fountain Valley, CA, 92708. You may want call and directly ask Costco.

Today (10/25) is the LAST day to order from Costco and get the $70 off your order. It's no longer listed as a promotion on their website but the $70 credit shows up on the last screen (payment) when placing the order.
BTW, you select the warehouse where you want to have the tires installed and they ship the tires to that warehouse and let you know when they come in.
giftgiver said: Any advice for getting a deal on just 2 tires? All of the rebates are for 4 tires.
(No, I don't have a friend who needs 2, or the space to store 2 for years until I need them...)
Haggle. I doubt if Costco employees are allowed to alter the price for you (anybody know for sure?), but any other chain will discount their products if you just ask. I don't think I've ever paid the initial asking price for tires. In fact, anyone using this coupon ought to be able to get another $70 off just by asking for it.
