I bought the 200W in Knoxville yesterday for $118.xx.

Not all Atlanta stores... regular prices at N. Druid Hills.

Target in RI has some. I noticed the Garmin 200W for 80 something yesterday....

What Atlanta location did you find these prices on the GPSs?

John's Creek target (Alpharetta area)

Which city/town please?

Seems that Target have decided to stock only tom*tom. Profit beats quality every time!

I have both. Not sure if you are just summing up your experiences with your units. But...

tomtom:
More user interface options
Very legible maps
Easier to preload favoites
Easy to carry mount bracket

Garmin:
Better audio than many models
Simpler to use
Will maintain map zoom setting
Easier to plug in any mini usb cable
Better mount dependability
Trip computer - record of roads, time, distance, gas cost

You probably owned a cheap model or an old one. I have the 720 tomtom and it's absolutely amazing. I then hacked it to be a 920 equivalent...and for picking it up on a deal for ~$80(was $300 at the time), I couldn't be more thrilled...a very sad day if it ever dies on me. People are amazed at what it does when joining me for road trips.

-2 cents

Looks like sold out in Hattiesburg, MS.

255W was regular price.

Got a 255 in Tampa, FL for $95. Thanks OP!

Found & bought a Garmin Nuvi 255 today @ Target (NW Houston, TX - Hwy 290 @ Pinemont) reg $170 for $95, they had 2 left. Will be a Xmas gift for a son that lost his in a smash & grab, left his in view in his car. News reported that smash & grab is up 700% since beginning of the year. Thanks for the info on the Garmin clearance @ Target.

Picked up the 200W in Warwick mall, RI. they have 9 left. $90 with tax. Love it so far, really nice screen

What does it do out of curiosity ?

do these work overseas? Or just in USA?

Hey! I was at Warwick Mall too yesterday and picked one up at around 3pm they had 4 left then.

damn .. didn't realize there were other people here who frequented 'ghetto target'. I stop by a lot of targets and that whole wwk mall store just has some weird foul odor to it that the others don't.

you mind pointing me in the right direction to hack 200w to 902?

You mean hack a Garmin into a tomtom? You need to ask an alchemist.

.........

Read his post please. He hacked a tomtom 720 into a tomtom 920.

Thanks OP. Wanted a 265wt (was on sale for ~$130) but there are none left in Utah.

Found 5 200w's at the Orem, UT store Thursday but couldn't decide if I really 'needed' one. Went back on Friday and got the last one. American Fork store still showed stock on 200w on Sunday.

Found a 265wt on clearance for $135 - picked it up for my Dad's birthday present - thanks OP.
