For those of you that have a Baily Banks & Biddle, they are in bankruptcy and clearing out their inventory.
Good/Great deals can be had on jewelry that is usually price protected. We bought some Mikimoto pearls for 40% + 15% + 15% off (it is not a cumulative 70%).
One location at Omega and Breitling watches for 20% off with a few select models 50% off.
Full warranty. I think their regular line of jewelry even if 50% off can be had on the net for about the same, but a good deal on some of the more "exclusive" lines.
Don't look for any fantastic sales here. Maximum discount looks to be 15%:
>>According to Bloomberg and the jewelry trade publication National Jeweler, liquidation firm Gordon Bros. Retail Partners LLC emerged as the highest bidder in Wednesday's auction for the assets of Finlay Enterprises (OTC BB: FNLY). National Jeweler says "Gordon Bros. entered an 85.75 percent equity bid on asset inventory, estimated at $116 million on the closing date, for the company's 49 "ongoing" stores. This means that Gordon Bros. is guaranteeing that store-closing sales will generate at least 85.75 percent of the aggregate cost value of the merchandise."
So although they may offer a few items at greater discount the average is going to be that 15%.
mikimoto @ ~55% off is a super deal - 'll check ! tyop!

"Bailey, Banks, & Biddle Bankruptcy Sale" is just a terrible name for a sale. I think "Bailey, Banks, & Biddle Bankruptcy Blowout Bonanza" is much better.

I'll be heading to the local BBB before work today and will let you know my findings- I've had my eye on an Omega Planet Ocean for some time, and hoping my patience will pay off someday!

Last month I got a Omega Speedmaster date (silver) 20%, then 30% off. Last weekend got a Breitling Emergency Mission 50% off. No returns, all new with papers. I had go to different locations 300+ miles apart. Definitely worth it for thousands in savings. Breitlings go fast, but Omegas are easier to come by. Some BBBs sell used (Chicago area), brother in-law got a used Omega seamaster ~$800 w/o papers.
For higher dollar jewelry, you can name the price! They said they would ask their financial guy for any reasonable offer. We picked up a brand name ring for 60% off (sign said 40%). A wholesaler I've been shopping a similar ring came close, but was $1000 more and not a brand name ring.
DFW area Omega's are only 20% off, hopefully lower soon. Happy hunting.
Be careful of what you are getting there. My mom purchased a set of Mikimoto earrings at the BBB in Pentagon City mall in VA, brought them home and discovered that the earring backs are not the original 18k Mikimoto ones but were other ones, sterling silver. I took them to a jeweler I trusted and we both confirmed that the earrings are Mikimoto but not the earring backs. Also, a lot of the jewelry being sold there are from the liquidators and are not original BBB stock. Ask the salesperson and look for the tags, in VA/MD/DC, liquidator jewelry has blue tags and original BBB stock has white tags. Happy shopping!
