Please, somewhere indicate that this post is for rechargable batteries !!! Everyone doesn't know what "eneloop" are!!! My only clue that it might be batteries was that you say "AA" and "four pack".

which is fine... the eneloops are a good bit higher quality than the HF batteries tho.. I have used both.

Same reason we don't see "Iphone 3G (cellular wireless telephone/pda/mp3/portable video player)" in the description.
Nice find, I want a charger for these batteries, my usb charger's cable got pulled by mistake and it is very much tricky getting it to work, the batteries are awsome..
Shipping is a bit of a bummer on this one, however, I ordered 4 packages and the total with the 5% off was 46 bucks so im at 11.50 per four pack shipped.. still the best deal I could find.

I *love* my LaCrosse charger- I even bought a second one. They do just great for AAs and even larger cells if you're willing to make adapters.
If you are a big battery hog then I'd consider getting the 8-way MAHA charger although I can't specifically recommend it as I don't have one- but it does come highly recommended on Candlepower Forums

is that a special or a normal price? i paid around $26 for that set-up from Costco a while back.

Thanks purduephotog, I will try to get one LaCrosse Charger or 8way MAHA, Is there any specific model that I should look for? Sorry for making the thread longer, you can PM me if this going to be an issue.

One needs a costco membership card, right? LLast time I tried to go inside the store just to see what all is there, they did not let me in because I am not a member.

How do these batteries compare to the Energizer rechargeable batteries, and could I recharge these using the energizer charger?

Eneloops are the best rechargeable battery made. 80% charge remains after one year sitting in a drawer. They also produce current at the right level for Pentax DSLRs, which no other rechargeable does. Only lithium batteries compare.
The old model was the BC-900 - I don't think there is much of a difference between them. They're fast, they're small, and they do the job. I run 27+ batteries through the two chargers a week (wife's pump for the baby, flashlights, electronics, toys, etc) and they hold their own. Only issue is the refresh cycle has been harder to automatically initiate but that's OK.
I actually don't use the Enloops - I bought some Tenergy cells that seem to hold up quite well.
I haven't used the enloops before but they get MUCH better reviews across the board than any other rechargeable. I have used energizer, rayovac, and some other off brand AA's and have not yet been happy with the results... The Energizers are especially disappointing, however, the Energizers Ive used have been 2500mAh batteries and they seem to have a history of poor performance.
polkmaniac said: How do these batteries compare to the Energizer rechargeable batteries, and could I recharge these using the energizer charger? The Eneloops don't discharge nearly as quickly as Nicad and NiMh when sitting. Rechargeables work best when used immediately, not after sitting in a drawer for weeks at a time. Thats why people complain about them as they charge them and then put them away. The eneloops will hold their charge for long storage periods and can be recharged about 1000 times (roughly once a day for 3 years if your math is not so good). They are basically a perfect "Alkaline rechargeable".

The Eneloops and the Maha PowerExs both get great reviews from professional photographers. And most recommend Thomas for their purchase. The Maha Imedion is the low discharge battery, whereas the PowerEx 2700 is not. I have also done a lot of research on the chargers, and the Maha C-401FS gets top ratings for keeping its temperature relatively low as well as maximizing the battery's charge.
You can buy the Energizer, Duracell, Ray-O-Vacs etc....for everyday use in toys, remotes, etc. But for the serious user for whom performance is critical, the Eneloops and PowerExs are best in class.
I will throw in my last two cents....customer service at Thomas is also great!

The LaCrosse BC-900 (or 9009) is good. The BC-700 is mostly the same as the 900, just without the fastest charging mode (which is probably better not to use anyway). I don't know anything about the MAHA ones, but I have two of the LaCrosse BC-900's and LOVE them.
The 1st generation eneloops are OBSOLETE. Brand-new eneloops, 2nd generation, have just been announced in Japan and will be on the market next month. 3 years to discharge vs. 1 year. (I think it's to 70% of max capacity but read up.) 1500 charge cycles vs 1000. etc.
There's always a reason things go on sale cheap.... Anyways, for those looking to get into rechargables and not pressed for time, I'd certainly wait and spend a little more on the newer 2nd gen eneloops - 3 year on the shelf to discharge is awesome for a rechargable battery, as well as for many other uses (flashlights, radios, etc, etc).

Everyone that gave me RED was late to the party AFTER the keg arrived.
I arrived early and the original title only said "Eneloop four pack".
By the time you got here, the OP had already fixed the title.
