Office Depot has this Printer for sale at $99.99. Bring in ANY old printer for a trade in extra savings of $50, giving final cost of $49.99. (Trade in is good for any advertised printer of orig. retail price of $149.99 or more, if there is another printer you would rather have.)

The trade in deal is pretty interesting, I have an older HP Photosmart 2710 wireless printer that I am thinking of getting rid of, I'd go for the Wireless 6500 though for $50 more.

Looks tempting but the reviews are not that great on OD or Amazon.

Can I trade in EPSON Stylus 8400 ?

Reviews for the 6500 are mixed. It scored a 84 (very good) at PC World. There are several other printers to check out on OD weekly ad. You can trade in ANY brand printer in any condition for recycling.

My local OD wouldn't give me the $50 off unless the printer was selling for $149 or more. If the sale price was less than $149 too bad on getting the $50 trade in.

I wanted the wireless version of the 6500 (it is on sale for $149)so I took in a pos 5 year old HP and they gave me $50 trade in so $99 plus tax.

put OD in title please

i'm pretty sure the ad says that it will work on any advertised printer with the original price of $149.99 or more.

i just checked the ad, they show the HP 6500 for $99.99 + $50 trade-in instant savings.

The HP P1006 Laser printer is also $49.99 after trade in.

The ad clearly shows printers now at less than $149.99 getting $50 trade in.
I got 2 of the HP 6500 wired (in ad at $99.99) for $49.99 each OTD.

1 was on the floor the other in the back, the bozo that I asked to find another said limit one per person, he said he read it.
I said ok, he went and got it for me, girls upfront said no, it is one trade in per printer.

Exactly. The n00b cashier tried to tell me that the P1006 wasn't priced high enough and I kindly informed him that it's on the front page of their ad and it says $99.99 PLUS $50 trade-in. He understood it then..otherwise I would have just talked to the manager who I've gotten to know over the years.

Thanks for the posting OP and the effort. Green for you. However I have posted it already in detail for several days including Q & As. It will be nice if you can refer to the link so that people can get lot more of their questions answered. Here is the link for your reference:

There is also a B&W laser printer for $99.99 after instant savings and printer trade-in. It is model P-1006. Anyone have experience with this printer?

Thanks to Junibutt for the heads up. I'm still kind of new to the listings. I searched for the HP 6500 title but not for OD printer deals. Credit to you for the details on your listing.

does the printer have to be in working order?

The P-1006 is agood printer, been using it awhile. It has a small footprint and is fairly fast. I try to print most things in draft mode to conserve ink, and I haven't had to replace the toner with about a year of use despite having a starter cartridge. Unless I'm doing pics, laser is definitely better for crisp text and no smudge printing.

Looks good to me...can get a new printer with more features than my old one for less than the cost of new ink cartridges.

Combine Staples competitor coupon (look at their online ad) $5 off $50/- to get AIO 6500 for $45/-

No.
However I trade in new never used HP d4360 still in plastic wrapping that were FAR from Staples.
I keep the ink and power supply transformer and ac cord.

As yesidonoitall suggests, remove the ink and turn in the cartridges for $3 reward at Staples or OD. Be bought two old HP inkjet printers on CL over the weekend for $5 each, to use as trade-ins, and both had 2 cartridges - covered the cost of the printers!

I have a few broken HPs... now the only problem now is finding an OD near by. Just checked and the closest one is 85 miles away.

NM.

$50 off for a printer that will not print
unless ALL TANKS are FULLY acceptable to hHP's
ink MONITORING system... will create more
than enough EXTRA $$ and hassles for
you ... for hpp to give you this
"deal"

Went to a nearby OD, they did not take the offer because the price in system is $99. Went to another one not far, they took the offer without any question. But, they take one trade in from one person each day, so I am going today again for second one. Its depend on the manager of the store. Good luck to all.

You shouldn't have to talk to a manager. Bring in the current sales circular which lists this deal with the instant $50 plus the $50 trade in credit on the front page. Good luck.

I've got the previous gen HP LJ 1012 and I love it. I print a fair amount and in the 2-3 years I've had it, I replaced the toner once. I bought the P1006 since it was too cheap to pass up - it's not nearly as cheap as the gigantic laser printers in terms of price per page, but I don't want or need a gigantic laser printer.
