Just received this card in the mail from Musicians Friend Call 800-687-3022 and mention code "OCT20%" use as often as you like before the expiration date Oct. 31, 2009 Good on over 70,000 products Restrictions? Enjoy!

I have NEVER seen any coupon codes good for any products that I actually would want to buy. They ALWAYS seem to exclude Korg, Roland, etc. If you are going to exclude more than half of the products that you carry, why bother with a coupon code at all. I hope to spend about $1400 on a Korg synthesizer in the next six months or so. I would LIKE to be able to save a couple of hundred, but I am not hopeful.
"Hey. I have a great sale on about three items in my store. Good luck finding which ones are one sale." I don't bother with these types of sales any more.

"Hey. I have a great sale on about three items in my store. Good luck finding which ones are one sale." I don't bother with these types of sales any more.I don't know, I'm in the market for an acoustic guitar amp, and the guy I talked to said the coupon was good for most of the acoustic amp brands they carry, including Fishman, Crate, AER, Genz Benz, Ultrasound, Fender, and many others. I guess it just depends on what you're looking for...
Speaking of exclusions, I notice MF now has a Bonus Bucks deal for online orders placed from today through Oct. 13. For purchases of $1,000 or more, you get a $200 E-certificate that has to be spent by Dec. 31 (see pics for other rate tiers). But these brands are excluded from the offer:
Wow that really doesn't leave much to choose from. Wish they would offer those 20% off E-certificates again (no restrictions on brands!), now that came in handy. Well holidays are coming, they may have better offerings soon!
Wouldn't it have saved them time by telling us what it's good for instead? Seriously, I was gonna find something to buy, but hell if I'm going to go through that list and try to figure out what is eligible. I checked for Vox and Line6 and gave up after that...

EDIT: called, and discovered this discount is good on phone orders only--but it does work.

(haha, we're all so locked into online ordering that sometimes we're blind to instructions to the contrary.)
Crap, I would've bought a Roland TD4 right now if this coupon worked.

These % off coupons for Musicians Friend are always like this. They always exclude pretty much everything you want to buy. But I've bought all my guitars/basses/equipment from them, I love the selection and prices.
A noted exception to the bonus bucks list is Yamaha. They actually make some solid guitars, drum machines, keyboards, superbikes, and generators. Those last two are probably excluded strictly from a stocking perspective, but the others are all good choices. A hundred bucks off a Yamaha LL6 all wood handmade acoustic guitar wouldn't be that bad, if they accept the code over the phone. But yeah, mostly these discount codes suck and are near impossible to use.
I think some here are confusing the list of exclusions to the Bonus Bucks deal that I posted above, with the exclusions to the 20% discount that the op posted. That list is not nearly as long, and when I called, the rep read it to me verbatim. Best advice: call and ask.

He said the OCT20% coupon can be applied to all Korg products! There really aren't that many exclusions to this particular coupon....
