Seems like a good deal, but I am skeptical (fear I'm too tired to see the catch).
My plan/desire is to -qualify for a-list (Family 1400 @ $89/mo) -use with Google Voice -include 1 data plan (for email and some under the radar tethering) -includes 1 nice 'basic phone' for my phone killing spouse -apply my FAN account after purchase

You can't apply FAN after purchase if it lowers your rate below the requirement for 6 months btw. It breaches the additional contract requirements you have with Wirefly (same with Amazon).

I know we can apply FAN discount when we buy phones from LetsTalk.com

FYI - STAY FAR AWAY FROM WIREFLY...FAR FAR AWAY.
If you value your time and money in the least, you don't want to order a phone from wirefly.
If you care for specifics I can elaborate but simply googling 'wirefly' will bring up numerous complaints and unhappy customers. The BBB also has quite a record on them that is most unfavorable. Trust me when I say that any 'savings' you get by going through wirefly will certainly be eaten up with the hours spent on the phone trying to decipher indian customer support and being transferred to 'managers' who are not authorized to make decisions. This is all not even taking into account the time you will spend without a phone while you send it back correcting their shipping and activation mistakes. Try correcting that billing problem with your carrier when it was caused by poor data entry and activation from Wirefly.
Long story short:
- Ordered 4 phones on family plan - 3 renewals and add 1 new phone. - Sent two phones on renewed plan. - Sent two more phones on a totally new plan. (one was wrong color) - Returned wrong color phone for a new one after waiting a week for RMA box. - Cancelled second plan (tried to charge me hundreds in early cancellation). - Sent second replacement phone still on wrong plan...and still wrong color. - Returned wrong color phone for a new one after waiting ANOTHER week for RMA box. - Sent correct color phone on correct plan.
All this while adding in numerous hours on hold, speaking to indians, and eventually getting AT&T to straighten out the billing lines issue that Wirefly caused and was 'unable' to rectify. Also keep in mind there is a wasted week every time you send an item back or they ship to you. All in all I wasted 3 months (no exaggeration) dealing with them and using a broken phone.
never EVER use Wirefly... Simplexity bought Inphonic (Wirefly) http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/arcmessageview.php?catid=24&thre... In case you have outstanding rebates with InPhonic/wirefly etc: On November 8, 2007, the sponsor of this rebate, InPhonic, Inc. filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the S Bankruptcy Code.... These are stupid companies that get a new name when they file bankruptcy over and over again running off with the profits and rebates etc. Then the stupid laws in america allow them to start again.
