Heh, which part?

don't buy this guys... save your $10 for something else. you don't even need the serial, just use 123123123etc. to play lan or singleplayer. if you don't already have your own copy of starcraft, anybody still on battle.net will either pwn you senseless or is a griefer.

3v3 BGH No Lagzz

Green for the 3....2....1..... go gogo ogogo ogogogogo gl

I just was playing this with some friends this weekend. It's amazing how great of a game it still is, even though it was made for Windows 95. Green for OP, this usually runs 15-20 in stores.

FYI, Blizzard still supports this game and is still releasing update patches. Also, once you install it, you don't need to have the CD anymore (Blizzard has instructions HERE)

That cracked me up. I haven't thought of that in years.

You want a piece of me boy...

I have had a hard time getting it to work on a Mac. Does it really work on a Mac?

Not sure about the box version but I did buy it online, the download version of Starcraft that includes both Brood of war, and it worked with my buddies on a local lan, 3 PCs and 1 Mac (me), I haven't tried online yet, I do believe you have to be updated to the right version so that everyone is in sync.

I used my brother's SC battle chest and it installed on my MBP just fine last summer.

that's classic...

Still a great classic game in my book! Good deal if you want to have FREE hours of fun on B.net. No $10-$15 per month online fee with this game!

finally the SC battle chest is discounted, which means SC2 is coming out soon !! they are disposing their inventory of SC.. =] cant wait for SC2 comin out end of this year or next

I've seen it at this price for a very long time. And I doubt they're "disposing their inventory" of a 10 year old bestseller now

My guess is that Blizzard is trying to hook in new generation of players with cheap bait, so they'd want to buy SC2 for $50 x 3.

I couldn't get game to load correctly on a Win7 machine. The colors were so off it was unplayable. Great memories of this game. Will be worth installing XP instead just to play it MISURICK, what's your b.net name?

I think the mouse is right. they're trying to bait newcomers in so that upon release starcraft II will have an even larger fan base. This is a great game, btw, and in response to some of the commenters above, blizzard's not getting rid of inventory because sc2 is coming. It is coming, but they just pushed the release back to next year. blizzard has a tendency to delay games, but unlike EA, they support their games forever and don't need patches after their release to fix bugs that should've been fixed back in development. when blizzard develops a game, they see it all the way through and do it well. this game is still supported, still played, even after 12 years since it's release.

just checked, deal's dead. back to 18.

QFT. Blizzard games are always great. Diablo II was patched almost 10 years after it was released. Starcraft was also patched not too long ago and that was released 10 years ago. I love Blizzard games!

I played SC since it originally came out and still play it today... It's definately a timeless game. I followed them through the WC 1,2, SC, WC 3(yuck) and have understand more than ever that Blizzard is known to delay their games. Their games are usually well developed, but SC was loaded with problems at launch. In the beginning, there were several tweaks to the economy and power ratio that were released over the first year of the game to resolve flaws and fix power balance among the races that were discovered and exploited by battlenet players..
