Semi-repost I bought this on the woot deal. It arrived a few days ago. I've only set it up in the house and it seems decent. The quick release plate takes a little fiddling to get it locked in. Worth the $30 for me.

what would make it a "semi-repost" - !? - price?!
Well, it was a repost of a comment in an expired deals thread, not another thread.

Stupid "semi-repost"! Who will go through the comments in an expired deal? You?

i think i find your post in a search in hot deal section, not expire deal section after i bought mine on Tuesday Oct6. So i did not post it as new deal in hot deal section that day.

I have this unit that I picked up for about 35 bucks at a Wolf's Camera last year. It gets the job done...nothing other than that is special about it.

Kwang2 - that was my point. That it was not posted as a new deal and difficult to find. I wasn't trying to take anything away from the posted deal, just pointing out that there had been a comment posted about the same deal a few days before. Obviously, the attempt at being wry by calling it a semi-repost was lost on you. People around here need to lighten up.
I got mine from Woot earlier this week and this is a steal for the price. You're not going to get another tripod that's actually sturdy, goes up to 7', and has double level bubbles for anywhere under 100. If you're in the market for a tripod and can't/don't want to spend over $100, just make it easy on yourself and order this one. The only complain is that the pan handle is cheap and might eventually break, but it's replaceable. Just get a better one.
out of budget tripods - ! - would highly recommend Amvona - most are variation or knockoffs/really well made of highly rated brands - have their top of the line / couldn't be happier (well mine are ~$200+ each)! good luck!
