calibre (google it) will convert anything to Sony's format. have an old 505 and lighted cover laying around i have to get rid of now that i upgraded to the 600 (touch). these devices rock.
here are some off the top some off the top of my head, there are many free book sites out there
mobileread.com manybooks.net feedbooks.com
and when you use software like calibre, you can format just about any type of text format you want to native lrf, or other formats compatible with the Sony prs505. http://calibre.kovidgoyal.net/
