Anybody have one of these? Looks like a great price for a fairly high end card. I'm just tired of buying super-noisy video cards and don't want this to be another one.

It's considered a mainstream video card. It should be very quiet for basic tasks and video playbacks.
My HTPC has a "mainstream" HD 2600 Pro and one of my "older" computers ran a Radeon 9800, and both are extremely noisy even when running nothing. Seems like fans have gotten better, but you can understand my concern after buying two mainstream video cards already and having this experience.
So whats the deal with the MSI rebates? Are they just denying foos that don't fill the rebate forms out perfectly, or are they really ripping people off?
So far, from the reports, it's been people admitting to sending the wrong info, (packing slips instead of invoice, etc)
I am not buying if these penises are stiffing people on the rebates...

Anyone have a positive experience from MSI?
I got my rebate on a similar card, no problem. One of the reasons they deny for the wrong info sent is because people will try to get two rebates off of the same purchase, so I do understand. Not saying that some don't jerk you around, but I did not have any issue with MSI.
If i was building a gaming computer, I would put in a better videocard. But it all depends on your budget and types of games you like to play. I realized I am not hardcore enough for top-of-the-line cards but a card like this would not cut it for me.
I'm guessing we're not going to see cards at this level come down much more in price than this A/R. The non-rebate price is probably going to come down, making it easier to get this card at $40 with or without rebates, but look around at cheap Nvidia FX5200 and 6200 cards...still going for $20-25 most of the time. HD2400/2600 cards are still around $30+. $40 for a 4670 card? This is a great price IMO, esp 1gb of DDR3 memory.

Of course, it all depends on your budget. If you pair it with a decently fast dual-core CPU or better (let's say 2.5ghz up), then you're getting "mainstream" performance with an HD4670. And there's nothing else like it for $50 or so.
Truth is, the HD4670 is plenty fast for Direct X 10 gaming. It's not "state of the art" in a single gaming card, but you won't be suffering from lack of frame rates, especially at lower resolutions and AA settings.
Anything below the HD4600 series, in the ATI line, is really only marginal for the most demanding games. Step down from an HD4670 and you will definitely see frame-rate issues running something like Crysis at full settings. But the 4550 and 4350 are still good for Blu-ray playback and "light gaming" (read "Direct X 9.0 gaming").
If you want to spend more (like around $100 total for the card) but move up considerably in peformance, I'd look for a price drop on the HD4770 or on the HD4850. The lower end of the HD5700 line beats them and sells for the same price ($125-135) right now, so I can see those cards getting a bit cheaper. But I don't think you'll find either one of them going for $50 anytime soon.
P.S - Green for OP.

In general, I'm not sure the Newegg is more popular anyway, but in the case of rebates which MSI is known to not honor all the time, Newegg stands behind their sales and rebate offers, and will basically contact MSI on your behalf if the rebate is denied, or just grant the credit directly to you.
I just want to know if the thing is quiet. Quiet enough for my HTPC in my sonata III. I want to be able to do the occasional bit of gaming on it and its current built in 4350 is of course useless for anything game-wise. I'm unwilling to trade frame rates with silence however. Add to that the fact I'd like to play at 1920x1200 and you can see why I'm having trouble finding the proper solution....
I bought one from zipzoomfly and then noticed the following line in the rebate form: "Note: zipzoomfly and Mwave customers are required to contact vendor for valid invoice." Can someone clarify what's considered a valid invoice. I would assume that I could print out order invoice from the website by going to My Account/Order Status/Tracking and click on the order #?
