Here's a MONSTER Thomas the Tank Engine wooden railway set. I can't vouch for the seller, but this is a pretty great price if they actually have it in stock with free shipping. For comparison, Target has the same item for $600. There's a seller on Amazon selling it for about $375 + $50 shipping.

Product Description:
The premier set! Includes multiple vehicles, track, accessories, and the popular Roundhouse. Roundhouse storage box features a removable lid that doubles as a seat cushion. The complete Island of Sodor in a decorative, wood Thomas Toy Box. Features both train and roadway play!

This set includes Thomas, Henry and tender, Bertie, Rusty with dumper and mixer, Duke with coal car, Skarloey, Sodor Line Caboose, Sir Topham Hatt, Round-about Action Turntable, Water Tower, Over-the-Track Signal, Stop & Go Station, Covered Bridge (without Knapford), 2 Sodor Bay Bridge, Roundhouse, and an assortment of track and accessories. Assembled set measures 47" x 31".

Thomas the Link Engine

This set looks extremely cool, but $380? Even if it is the lowest price, it is still very over priced.

Tell me about it. As a parent of a kid who's obsessed with Thomas, it almost makes me angry how much the Thomas wooden railway toys are like drugs!

They sell you Thomas pretty cheap, but every other engine/car costs at least twice as much even though they're virtually the same size without any REAL differentiating features or functionality.

It's totally a "The first time is free, but next time you've gotta pay" kind of thing.

You inspired me to find a cheaper alternative... check out the Melissa & Doug deal I just posted.

Too funny, we just got a catalog in the mail that included that same "Thomas- & BRIO- compatible set".

And yes, we're thinking about that one seriously but not the uber-insane 980-piece set that I just posted about.
